I have been a regular here for quite a while now (two years?) and can honestly say Ive never tried a drink that I didnt enjoy. The Alabama Stinger is a menu highlight. Be forewarned that seating can be difficult to find unless you visit during the morning hours, but Prevail is an excellent place to study during the quieter times of the day (early morning and late afternoon). On days with nice weather, the outdoor tables provide a beautiful view of Samford Hall and the old part of campus. However, one evening my friend and I were loudly and snark-ily lectured by a barista for leaving our things unattended and spread out on a table when, in actuality, we stepped out for ~15 minutes to grab food, and there were plenty of tables open for others when we left and when we returned. One negative incident among so, so many positive ones, but it definitely put an unwelcome damper on my love for this place. Ive never had a problem with other customers or with the staff while leaving my things for short periods of time, and I tried to talk with the barista afterwards to encourage him to handle situations with customers differently in future, but he had clocked out for the day. I like spending time with friends and doing homework without being unnecessarily lectured within earshot of a room of people whose heads are turned to see what the commotion is about. I would imagine thats a pretty universal desire. Otherwise, I really love Prevail, and Auburn is lucky to have it. Definitely worth your time to check out with a book in hand or a friend in tow.

I recently graduated from Auburn university and I have been going to this coffee place literally everyday for the past 2 years. It is basically my second home. So yeah, my opinion is going to be biased. But then again, I am a coffee snob and have tried every coffee shop in and around Auburn and settled on this one as my go to place to get cup of coffee. It has a great ambience and amazing menu of various drinks. Weather you like your coffee black or with milk or you are a tea person, these guys will brew you whatever you like. They also have some beers on tap and nitro cold brew and fermented tea which is great. Very knowledgeble and friendly staff. Fair prices. If you are in Auburn, you should definitely stop by this place. Only negative if I had to pick one would be finding parking around South College street on weekdays to actually get to the shop. But then again thats true for any shop around downtown so nothing much we can do about that.

Wow, cant believe this place hasnt been reviewed yet. So I come here quite often to do homework and such. The owner is very knowledgeable about coffee and is anxious to teach anyone willing to learn. The staff is kind and helpful. Heads up, they dont let you bring in outside food so make sure you only want coffee when you come here. They have a limited offering of foodstuffs, which are good but probably best only if you have the munchies. Theyre espresso has a rich earthy flavor that caught me off guard at first but now I love it. Chandler, one of the employees, is the man. Hes got beautiful locks and a beard that rivals that of the most orthodox of jews. Anyway, off my man crush moment, everything is handcrafted and delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a cup of Joe in a comfortable environment. Tl;dr : good coffee, great staff, Chandler is the man.

Great place that used to be called Wake Up, but one thing hasnt changed: they dont make good espresso. Literally everything else Ive tasted there is well made and higher quality than what youd expect at other coffee shops, but most of the time, I just want an espresso. The shots turned out here have a decent crema, but have an overwhelming acidity thats probably caused by the water temperature used. Edit: By acidity, I mean sour acidity. Not bitterness. It may be just a user error, but after getting burned (not literally) by the espresso several times under two different names, I wouldnt recommend getting one here. If you get one and it doesnt make your face pucker, let me know, and Ill be back ;)

Went there over our anniversary weekend. This has got to be the best coffee Ive ever had and I consider myself a coffee snob. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Selection of drinks was very nice and they had a little section of gifts from the countries where they purchase their beans and other needs. They make their own syrups for the mixed coffee drinks and this makes a huge difference in taste. The staff seems like they actually enjoy their work and it shows in the coffee you get. Make a special effort to visit this small little coffee shop on the plains.

I pretty sure they brew their coffee with fine grains of the hearts of men because Ive never grown a beard faster after having a cup. Ive heard of 5 oclock shadows, but my beard grew five inches after inhaling the smokey steam before taking my first sip. After finishing my first cup, I got all of my course work done for the full semester in every class and still had enough time to take this girl sitting across from me on a date. Okay, that last part wasnt true. She was actually sitting at the bar while I was on the couch, but who really cares?!

Mixed feelings about this place. I love their Honey Vanilla Rasberry Latte but drinks definitely differ a lot between baristas so its hit or miss. The atmosphere is great and is good for studying IF you can find an open seat, which can be very hard sometimes. Also, Ive had a lot of rude baristas here recently, which is upsetting. But theyre very fast so I can easily get in and out in a matter of minutes if needed. They also hold trivia nights and have a great beers and cold brew so thats a huge plus!

Im not too sure how long Prevail Union has been around, but I hail the surge of fancy coffee culture that college campuses seem to engender. Along with having a great nitro cold brew float (if they dont run out of the house made ice cream!), Prevail Union is one of the few places Ive seen that will actually make you an iced pourover (aka flash-brewed iced coffee aka Japanese style iced coffee) without giving you a weird look.

Prevail Union is another great addition to the coffee shops of Auburn. The service is great, the drinks are quality, and the dining room is perfect for studying! I wish the prepared coffee was a little cheaper, but it is worth the price. The shop is worth the try if you already have a regular place in the other coffee shops.

Excellent place to get a cup of coffee and the location is great, right across from Samford Hall in downtown Auburn. Their regular coffee is made using the pour over method. Always good and always fresh. It is also a great place to hang out to study, think, or visit with friends. Highly recommended.

One of the best ways to start a busy day is to meet a couple friends at Prevail and enjoy some coffee and conversation. Its a good place to spend time whether youre studying, hanging out with friends, or just trying to pass the time. Plus, the coffee is great.
