Im not the type of person who will regularly take the time to review an establishment online, or even let something bother me enough to feel the need to complain about it. Today Ive reached my limit, so understand the weight that my comments carry as a result. Spending the afternoon shopping with my wife and two year old daughter while waiting on our car to get serviced, and we decided to let our little girl go play in the play place at the food court. Our time there was cut short, however, when a middle aged woman brought her Maltese dog with her to sit in the play area. My daughter - ever the animal lover - walked over and asked to pet the dog. Her owner yelled at my little girl and yanked the dog out of reach. Understandably so, my two-year-olds feelings were hurt, and the ire of my wife and myself was brought to full force. We left the playground and called the security office to complain. Security informed us that they had received several complaints, but that the woman claimed that hers was a service animal. My wife asked for clarification whether the woman had papers, and the dispatcher hesitated before saying that such registration papers were on hand - leading us to believe that wasnt the case. While helpful in giving us the information, its apparent that mall security is just as toothless as everyone assumes - hogtied by policy that caters to placating the lowest common denominator in our society. My wife is a veterinary professional and she assures me that in most cases a Maltese could only serve as an "emotional support animal", so the legitimacy of this womans need to have the dog with her in a mall - let alone a kids playground - is even more questionable. But if she must insist on sitting in plain view of the children with her unmarked "service animal", the least she could do is have the common decency to act like a human being and not verbally accost a two-year-old for being excited to see a dog. I dont care what the law states about service animal usage, there is no reason for a GROWN WOMAN to need her dog in a childs play area. Furthermore, it is unconscionable that Dulles Town Center would allow someone to treat their guests with such blatant disrespect. My daughter has been inconsolable since this happened, and our holiday will now be consumed with trying to relieve her from being upset about how this fraction of a human being treated her. One star, Dulles Town Center. You lose my business until your policies more closely guard the needs of your younger patrons, and not those who just dont know how to leave Fido at home.

Overall Im going to give this mall a 3.5 star rating. I dont think this is the best mall however, I dont think that it is the worst either. They dont have a lot of places that I like in this mall but here is a list of places that I typically go when I do come here and they are as follows: 1.) Macys 2.) Sears 3.) Dicks Sporting Goods 4.) Champs 5.) Foot Locker 6.) Lids 7.) Finish Line 8.) GameStop Again those are the stores I most frequently visit when I come to this mall. Now they have other stores that could be the one your looking for but I just want to inform you that this isnt the mall that you need to drop everything for to come and shop but I think it can get the job done if in a pinch for a purchase. Now to the food court. The food court here is a bit lack luster and can be hit or miss with any of the food establishments. However, they do have a Chick-Fil-A and finally a Auntie Annes (Initially this mall didnt even have one not even a Auntie Annes food kiosk and Im like what mall doesnt have a Auntie Annes). Sometimes I feel a bit adventurist and I try some of the other eatery spots and they are pretty much hit or miss, some of them more hit then miss. Now the reason I give this place .5 bump is because they have some cool eateries located right on the outskirts of this mall like: Red Lobster, Longhorn, Mimis Cafe, Benihana, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs, Red Robin, and a few other but these are ones I most frequently visit. In the end this mall isnt bad but I dont want you going in there with your hopes up. I think it may be better to come to this mall with the reverse kind of attitude that you arent going to find anything in there that you like, that way if you do you will be 100% satisfied. But hey, then again, there are probably people that love this place. Best of luck shopping.

My eyes are attracted to shiny, sparkly, expensive price tags. Although I shop on a budget, I always manage to find the most expensive items in the store. I cant help it. I can put outfits together faster than you can count to 10. I know the colors of the season, how a trend can become a classic item in your closet and how an item can be purchased on a discount. Because theres always a discount. Some coupon, BoGo sale or extra off clearance that should be addressed before stepping foot in a mall. Unapologetically, I walk in a mall boldly. I probably whip my hair around while I cut my eyes at the nearest bright lights. I know which door to walk in and how best to orientate myself once inside. I live for the thrill of my first buy. I always have an item in mind, but with a few extra dollars I will not be confined to a single mission. I never over indulge...unless its a special occasion or half yearly sale. And when that special item reaches my eye sight...one thats powerful enough to make me rethink all other items purchased...one that will change the dynamic of my closet...I can rest easy and leave the mall satisfied. Unfortunately, the thrills are cheap at Dulles. Im more likely to find something at the local TJ Max or Nordstrom Rack. Which is ironic considering its proximity to the airport. I once imagined that this mall might be a tourist attraction, rather it is placed simply to tickle the boredom of locals who are too lazy to travel to Tysons. Sigh.

I would like to let everyone know first off that the management here is terrible. While I was looking at trying to get an apartment here for my family and I ran into many problems with the management. The assist property manager Adam was not all helpful in me trying to get a military rate to stay here. Everything he was telling me about what their property requires to be done for a military rate was completely wrong. Then when I tried to contact the property manager Valerie Leidy she was never in or never emailed or called back. I got fed up waiting for a response from her so I went and found a better apartment across the street Village at Potomac Falls. I recommend you find a different place to stay (Parc Dulles is the sister property and ran by the same property manager).
