In early April, I brought my Volvo to Darrell Waltrip Volvo for some repair work. I worked with Josh Daugherty in the service department, and this was my second time working with him. I’m being honest when I tell you that I have never been helped by a more knowledgeable technician. Josh clearly has a wealth of knowledge about the Volvo brand. He was able to talk to me about my vehicle with complete transparency and certainly had my (and my car’s) best interest in mind. He was an extremely effective communicator and was always polite and professional. I did take note, that the Volvo service department was always immensely busy, yet somehow Josh was always able to be prompt with his updates regarding my vehicle. I’ve taken vehicles to a number of repair shops in the past with varying experiences, but working with Josh was like a breath of fresh air. I also want to point out that while I didn’t work directly with the other service technician, Lane, he was very personable and engaging. The two of them are really doing big things in the Volvo department, and I genuinely enjoyed working with them!

I can only speak for the service department for this review. Will, the service agent is the best person I have worked with in 10 years. I have never really met a service agent who didnt try to high ball you on prices or try to get you to purchase products that you did not need. I called a few volvo dealerships for my wifes 60K service, all of them were 500$ and one even quoted me at 1000$. I am a mechaninc for 15 years and knew it is only 140$ in parts, so was way to high. I called darrel volvo, and will gave me the price range I was looking for. I have been going to darrell volvo ever since then. Will even worked with us when we were low on money and needed to get a major repair done on our vehicle. Will is the only person I will deal with at this establishment. No exceptions. If you dont believe me then do this little trick to see what dealership is dishonest. call all the dealers one day for quotes on what you need done, then wait a few days and do it again. I guarantee you will see price fluctuation.

I no longer live in the Nashville area, but when I was visiting for the weekend and had a major problem arise with my car, the folks at Darrell Waltrip Volvo took excellent care of me and my car. They were able to schedule me to come in the same day, arranged a rental car for me, and treated me with top notch customer service throughout the entire process. Lane was able to diagnose one of the problems immediately, and the tech team was able to diagnose and fix the other problem in record time. Lane and Josh both explained what was done clearly and thoroughly without being condescending, and were honest about what was urgent vs. what I could watch and wait. Jennie provided great customer service and follow-up. While clearly, I dont hope to have another car problem that requires immediate attention while Im visiting Nashville again, if that does happen, I will feel confident going to the folks at Darrell Waltrip Volvo for help. Thank you all!

I lived here in Nov 2010 to Nov 2012 and had my Volvo serviced for that 2 year period at this dealership. I am retired US ARMY, I never had any issues from the service department nor the parts department. I wouldnt take my Volvo anywhere but to this dealership. I recently relocated back to (Westhaven) Franklin on Mar 2016. I still receive the great service and guidance that I feel confident in with their decision process of technical support. They have actually helped me to call for extended coverage to minimize my costs. This is the dealership to feel safe with their recommendations for service. I have been with Volvo since 1998, wait to you see what they are coming out with in 2017 with the S90 Sedan, the SUV XC90, is my next buy in December 2016. Bottom Line: They will not take advantage of a customer like some dealerships or repair shops do.

Over the past 22 years, my wife and I have purchased 8 vehicles from Waltrip Honda and pointed other family members friends to Kelvin Mackey for another 8-10 purchases. Kelvin is still around, but more involved in the internet program, so our last purchase (12/08) was from Jim Smith. These folks are top notch and have never engaged in the silly games some dealers play. They know I do my research and respect their need to make a fair and reasonable profit. I could probably push elsewhere for a cheaper price, I rather work with great people that can be trusted. The service folks have provided great service and are very good at communicating what is needed to keep the vehicle running stong for many miles.

Great service department, absolute professionals! Made the mistake of having our oil changed on our 2011 XC-60 at the Valvoline in Franklin Tennessee while visiting family; checked our oil the following day before we continued our trip to Virginia--oil was low--really low. A little panicked and very concerned we waited for DW service to open. They help us first thing, looked over our Volvo and determined that there was no issues and that Valvoline did not service the car correctly. Awesome customer support, friendly and supportive. Lessoned learned. If their sales department is anything like their service department, I know where we will be buying our 2015 Volvo... Thanks again!

After my beautiful Volvo was involved in an accident a couple of years ago, I wasnt able to get a new one. Though Im very lucky and grateful to be in a different car, I miss the thoroughly amazing service provided by this dealerships service department. They always checked my car to make sure they kept up with what was needed and to what degree of wear and tear a part had taken. Best of all they never failed to keep me aware of it too. They seemed to care about the car; and sitting down and talking to me about what they found always made me feel confident my car was safe. Im finding it difficult to find that anywhere else!

Extremely disappointed with this dealership and caution anyone thinking of getting their vehicle here if service is important to you! I purchased here and even opted in for the extended service agreement on my vehicle only to be very disappointed. I have had four bad instances with the service department here with the last one…being the last straw! I refuse to take my vehicle back there and now have to track out of my way to Nashville. If I had to do this all over again and knew that service here was SO bad, I would have never purchased the vehicle!

Worst customer service I have ever had! They tried to overcharge me for parts and services that I did not need. You cant believe a word they say! It took them 3 days to tell me that I needed a new battery. My battery was under warranty. When I took it back to AutoZone the battery was just fine! They just wanted to get the $375 for a new battery...a battery that I didnt even need! What a rip off! I ended up towing my vehicle to Volvo Nashville where I received tremendous customer service. They had my vehicle ready the same day!
