Buyer beware -- if your product is lost or stolen in shipment, Midland simply does not care. I ordered a product from Midland in September 2013. The product was not delivered, which admittedly is a shipment problem, but one that should easily have been resolved and would have been covered by the shipment insurance. I contacted Midland to resolve this issue, and they instructed me to open a claim with the shipper (FedEx) -- however, FedEx does not permit claims from individuals without documentation and a waiver from the shipper. It has been almost four months and despite multiple emails to Midland, I have not received any of the required documentation nor any assistance with my claim. I have been persistent, and yesterday I finally got a response to an email to Midland, letting me know that Midland would a) not help me with my claim and b) would not refund my money for the product. I am furious. If there are any questions about how Midland handles these cases in general, here is a quote from their shipping policy: "We are not responsible for any items that are left on porches, at front/back doors, in bushes, or in yards, etc. A signature request must be requested at the time the order is placed if you do not want packages to be left by FedEx while no one is home. If you request items to be left in a specific place, we are not responsible for FedEx leaving packages in places other than specified. We as the shipper will do all we can to help with the matter, however, once delivery has been confirmed, we have fulfilled our duties to get the item to you that you have ordered. We do not assume responsibility for the actions of outside agencies, or the general public." Compare that with Amazons or Home Depots shipping practices, which will immediately replace or refund a lost package even before a claim is filed. Im usually a fan of the underdog, but in this case, the underdog has lost my trust.

Attempted to give them a chance, went to the website and order an adapter piece to connect a gas Line, claimed to be 3/8 x 3/8 which was perfect. Placed my order and when it arrived I looked at it though it was wrong and to my surprise it was not and instead a 1/2 x 3/8. I attempted to contact customer service to get the correct piece and instead of sending me out the correct piece they instead wanted to argue that it was my fault. There website is messed up and they even changed it after I contacted customer service, My confirmation email says 3/8 x 3/8 and they wont to take no responsibility. AVOID IF POSSIBLE as they do not have an organized system and if the off chance happens that they mess up, they will shrug off the blame instead of working to find a resolution.

So frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i ordered and payed on the 10th and recived my email saying they received my order and my money... i was to wait for 1-2 days and i would get an email saying my product had been shipped with a tracking number... still waiting for my tracking number and it is now the 15th... i called the store and i was told they do not handle on line orders over the weekend and there was no one to help me until Monday... so seeing as there store is open but not there on line order department i dont get to speak with any one about this problem for two more days and dont expect to see my confirmation email for shippment for many days not...I just want a refund at this point

First order was not the problem. Second one - after 4 days of waiting I got email that my card has to be verified. I spend 60 minutes choosing three different phone numbers and hoping somebody will connect. Finally, I got somebody on the phone. I was asked to provide the info - i told the clerk that i have six card and i am not sure which one used. I gave him one i though is the one - he said "no" and put down receiver. 3 minutes later he I call another clerck told me that he cancelled my order. She was not kind or kept saying that order is cancelled. If i inquired about procedure she kept saying order is cancelled. Service sucks

Placed an order online and only received 9 of 14 packages ordered and the packaging slip column for "quantity shipped" was left blank. Tried to contact customer service with my issue and only on the third attempt was I finally able to get some answers, however that was pretty much "the warehouse says they shipped them all." They offered to re-send the five additional packages, however since this was a time-sensitive order and they couldnt guarantee I would get them in time I just ended up very frustrated and cancelling my order. Very frustrating experience.

Customer Service Sucks I believe its called Bait and Sitch...Did not get the item that was pictured on website even though i made note when placing order that i wanted only item that was exact match that was listed when i ordered. They said it was same item just in different bag... thats like ordering a red car and getting a blue one... its still the same car just not the right color. so take it anyway. Its not the same in the bag and i sent photos to show it.

I am exceptionally pleased with Midland Hardware. I ordered several new doorknob sets for my home, and they were shipped promptly and as described. When I realized that I had not bought the correct knobs, I sent an email asking about how to return and exchange them for the correct ones, and Emily responded quickly and made the process easy for me. They shipped the second order to me quickly, as well. I would definitely do business with them again!

Recently purchased products from online site and the whole service was great. I called and asked a question about the product I was viewing online and got a great sales rep. who was very helpful and when I made the purchase the order was shipped that day and arrived by Ground the following day! Cost was also very comparable and fair. Now that I know this place exists I will be using many more times in the future. Highly recommended.

I ordered from the Midland True Value website and picked up in store. I didnt know I was supposed to wait for an email that verified the item had been delivered from the warehouse to the store. However, the man who helped me gave me the item off the shelf instead, so I wouldnt have to make two trips to the store. I appreciated his customer service and will go there more often because of it.

They held my order for a month and a half with no updates or communication even though they said my items would be in stock within a week. I couldnt get anyone to pick up the phone so I complained over email about the delay and asked for an update, they cancelled my order with no explanation. They treat customers like they are dirt.

Ordered a "cheap" inexpensive Steel blade grinder nut chopper. Well I got what I ordered cheap. The "steel blades" were all bent up before I could grind up 10 almonds. Maybe not midlands fault but I would not sell this cheap $hit. Going to try and get my money back. Shipping was more than the product.
