I would give it a zero star if I could. I went there last night and got seated with a party of three. The place was about half full. Busy, but not slammed. We were seated in the middle of the dining room. Four other tables were seated after us. After 15 minutes, we noticed that all four tables had been visited by a memeber of the waitstaff. Three of the tables had received their drink orders at this time. One of our party went to the hostess and told her we had not been visited by the waitstaff. The membet of our party then pointed out our table to the hostess. She said "oh. Ok." She then proceeded to seat more tables. Ten minutes later, still no service. We decided to leave. I got the hostess and told her we were leaving because we had not been visited by a member of the waitstaff. She acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. To stem any comments: we were not being loud. We were not being disruptive. We were in no way acting any differently than anyone else in the restaurant. We went down the street to the longhorn steakhouse and had a good meal. Service was great. Food was good. So if you are thinking of going to Cracker Barrel. Just go to the longhorn instead. And no I dont work for Longhorn, notlr have I received compensations of any sort from them. Just trying to contrast the differences

I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. This is the only restaurant Ive ever walked out of. This is a racist establishment and should not be allowed to operate. Im white. My friend is not white. We were promptly seated right on top of the entrance door next to a not white couple. The entire side of our restaurant was empty but of course we have to squeeze into the table right next to the only occupied table in the room. The room had a kind of dividing wall. On the other side of the wall about 10 out of maybe 30+ tables were full. All of those patrons were white. We waited about 15 minutes before we left. In that time we never met our waitress so no drinks, no order, no food. Nothing. We got to listen to the 5 employees working the giftshop chat and laugh. I saw at least three waitresses going back and forth between the kitchen and the other side of the room. After about 12 minutes in a white family of 6 people sat at a large table in the middle of the room. At the 15 minute mark (or 3 minutes for the large group) a waitress went to their table to take their drink order. This was at about 4:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday so wayyyy before the dinner rush.

I went for food this week. The waiter took 13 minutes to come up to ask for our drink order. When we put in our order for our food they messed mine completely up that they gave me half of it and took the other half out back to change the order. Which the first half was cold and I couldnt even enjoy it because the other half was missing and took 14 minutes to get the other half. Meanwhile my moms order was under cook. The toast wasnt even toasted. And it took an hour plus for our original order to come to our table. I will never be coming back here again and its just a minute away from my house. I was mad and terrible upset over the horrible service and the fact that I paid 27 dollars for nothing and left starving. We also told the manager and she put in a new order for my mom and she said it would only be 5 minutes but 17 minutes passed and there was no food so we just left because we had somewhere else to go. On top of that we had told them we were in a rush and frankly they didnt care. Ive never been so disgusted by the service of the restaurant.

Although I could definitely sense the feeling of Southern Hospitality and bringing more than enough of anything we asked for to the table, the food was not as tasty as I would have liked it to be. In general, most of what I was tasting was with a hint of blandness, I found myself wanting to dip everything in gravy (which came pretty hot to the table, but soon left me unsatisfied as it appeared to have a high greasy fat content). One item which made things very difficult and made ordering take a while was both the organization of the menu and also the lack of visual aids. I had to solely rely on my reading comprehension and imagination to get my mouth to water). I ended up going with the Reuben. While the service was decent, and the food was not aweful, I give this visit 3 stars, despite the many people who would probably rate higher than me as I can see with the trends of this area. I just refuse to believe this is the best place to eat based off all the reviews here.

Look. This place has good food and its cheap, but it isnt run that well. The wait staff takes a Looooong time doing each task--coming for drink orders, coming back for food orders, bringing food out, checking on you, bringing the check, bringing any special request items out. So it drags out the whole thing. This tells me they havent got enough wait staff or the waiters arent trained properly. The food itself is good and tasty. Very large, delicious pancakes. Ive had my eggs a little underdone before, but for some cooks, thats just a style thing and I believe I could be more explicit in my request. The location is convenient for many and the prices are generally very low for what you get. It is simply how things are run that make this a nearly unbearable place for me to eat. Buuuuut, if you dont mind taking it slow, youll enjoy this place. I think thats why 80% of the people I see in here are local seniors. They dont have to get back to work right after lunch.

Sometimes I wonder whether I was born in the wrong part of the country because there is little I enjoy more than "southern comfort" food. There are very few options for that here in New England but luckily there are Cracker Barrel restaurants to fill that void. This location is like all others: popular! That said, we usually never have to wait for a table, so you can go almost anytime and get seated immediately. The wait staff is always friendly and courteous, but sometimes it feels like each server is given too many tables because they often disappear for several minutes at a time, often when Im looking for a refill or if something was missed from our order. That said, again, the food is delicious, reasonably priced, and plentiful. Plus, they serve breakfast at all hours, and my kids love to enjoy pancakes at suppertime.

This place is just like any other cracker barrel. Nothing special, but not bad either! The prices are great, and with most meals you get 3 choices of sides! However, most of the food is just "eh". I got good use out of my salt and pepper. The waitresses were friendly, and even accommodated 2 different groups of people that asked for different tables. They accommodated both, despite there being a 20 minute wait for most people. (Which was another plus for us: They said 20 minutes wait and it was less than 10). Overall. Its an okay place to eat.
