Years ago I use to go to Whole Foods stores when they had reasonable prices until they took over Wild Oats then they jacked there prices. "No competition" I personally been to almost all Whole Foods stores cross the country and I have to say that no matter where Ive been they have good selection, good display and good foods. However; that dont mean I have to pay over twice for the same item that I can find at the other stores. Now these day even Wall Mart has organic products and they have very good selection of good produce so, I totally disagree with the previous comments. I dont go to Wall Mart to get my my grocerys but, I pay attention for what I pay I work very hard for my money so, I will pay whats right I can also find good foods at Kroger and Trader Joes why pay more for the same food??? for a lovely looking display or for some one that goes around the store calming that he/she has more knowledge than you do on grocerys?? Im sorry but, I dont live to show off to any one that I got my grocerys from Whole Foods. If you live a fantasy world and you want to pay double the price for your grocerys, you have so much money you dont know what to do with and your nose is up you know where then thats fine Whole Foods is your place. But, next time you remember when you go there just think of how much extra your paying for the same foods you can get much better price just by going to see there competition. Im glad that we finally have Trader Joes here in Louisville its been a long time that there hasnt been any competition hopefully this will get there act together.

Good selection, good produce. One of the only places to find organic goods across the board. So, why have I gone from a regular weekly shopper to once a month and less? Employees range from friendly to those who should have no contact with public. A few departments have Wonderful! service (Cheese!), others are rude, some are neutral. Thats a pretty big problem when your customers are willing to pay top dollar for good stuff. Someone got the "friendliness memo" and forced themselves to say "hi how are you" without smiling. They were doing what their mgr told them, but its better to keep busy and say nothing than come across as bored and put upon. Rolling of eyes/sighing has been a problem at this particular store for a long time - from the top down. Again, there are a few standouts who are the epitome of good customer service but they cant make up for everyone else. When the employee in the parking lot yells at a shopper because he wants to block off a spot that they just pulled into, youve got an employee you cant afford to keep. This attitude crops up regularly. Customers treated as if theyre in the way. Oh, checkout may not be the most fun, but look at the customer at least once instead of making it so obvious theyve interrupted your conversation about the produce you just stashed away for yourself. You dont have to like us, just be civil and polite. We help make your payroll and we might even be the hr person at the next place you apply for work. In short, I used to buy EVERYTHING here. Now, only what I cant find elsewhere.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THE BAKERY! I ordered cookies for myself and friends. Went round and round with then on the day and time I needed them. They did not have them ready when I told then I needed them so had to make a special trip (I live 40 minutes away) pack to get them and I got them home and they were over cooked. Emailed them to let them know, the bakery manager emailed me and agreed to make them again. I let him know what day and time I would pick them up. Went to get them on my birthday, and the manager claimed he never got my email to confirm my day/time of pickup so never made them! I pulled the sent email up on my phone and showed them right there! Not the service I would expect from a high end super market. I left my cart full of grocerys I was about ready to purchase and have not been back since!

I am VERY thankful to have Whole Foods. I do all my grocery shopping here and at Pauls. When I go to Kroger/Wal-Mart/Meijer, etc I end up with a bunch of garbage. I have thrown away endless amounts of fruits and veggies from those stores because they were junk when I brought them home. Whole Foods costs a little bit more but you are paying for quality. For us, because we are able to eat everything we buy at Whole Foods, it ends up being cheaper than buying rotting kale/fruits/bread from Kroger and throwing it away. Whole Foods also makes their own bread and I love their baked goods...they are delicious, high-quality, and much of it is vegan. The samples in the store are great..they hook me every time. If you care about what goes in your body and are looking for better quality then Whole Foods is great.

The general manager SCOTT is condescending and rude. Some people choose to eat a certain way and others have to. I have to eat gluten-free because of celiac disease. This means calling companies and figuring out what I can and cant have well in advance. When the entire frozen section, containing all of the gluten-free "bread" products that I knew were safe, was shut down, he talked to me like a four year old and explained that I could go to Kroger instead. This is not the same. Kroger doesnt have what I need and no companies are open right now to confirm that the food is safe. Anyone who can tell another human that they cant have breakfast for a week and be rude about it should not work in the food/grocery industry!

THE GOOD: The selection is quite large and there is a big variety of each type of item. Great "corner market" atmosphere. Everything is very fresh. There is full service in meat, seafood, deli and bakery. The "by the pound" salad bar has a large variety of everything... its fantastic... great spot for lunch (there are tables in the store). THE BAD: Expensive. SUMMARY: I find that most people do not shop here regularly, but do shop on occasion. The higher prices tend to drive away most people, but that is a great place to shop when you want something beyond a TV dinner. Id say Whole Foods is an excellent grocery store suppliment.

I want to commend the staff at this location! Tonight around 7pm I was checking out and heard a commotion behind me. The customer in line behind me was clearly having mental issues and was verbally attacking the customer behind her (who was with her small child) for no apparent reason. The customer and her child getting the wrath from this woman was stunned and unsure what to do. Thankfully, the staff working the registers were quick to get the lady who was verbally attacking them out of there. One of the staff even walked the lady and her child (who were being verbally attacked) out to their car. Thanks for training your staff so well! A+

This is an okay store but still does not deliver the type of products you expect to find with how expensive the products are. I have bought organic avocados, more than once, expecting to cut open a nice avocado and it is worse than the Walmart garbage. The meat department is very bad as well. Not only do they gouge on the prices but the meat always give us upset stomachs. Once I asked the butcher who is the whole seller of the meat and they said they could not disclose that information when I have had other butchers from other stores inform who their whole seller is. There "Wild Caught" fish is not the only thing that smells fishy here!
