Most of the guys who work here actually know cars, and have worked on them. An old speed shop thats become a NAPA, this is by far the best place in Alameda to get parts for your car. Being a NAPA they have good distribution connections and can usually get what you need within 24 hours if they cant get it the same day. All that said, they dont get 5 stars in my book. Among the 15 odd times Ive been there in the last few weeks while doing a partial rebuild of my 67 Plymouth, theyve sold me the wrong thing on more than one occasion. I explained I was doing a head job on the old big block in my car, and they sold me an inch pounds torque wrench. I gave them the make and model of the car, and they sold me the wrong plugs. Those things aside, my experience with them has been generally pleasant and they have good information and do good work.

Just called this store and the staff told me that they no longer carry NAPA products as of just recently, since they had some sort of an issue with warranties or something. Not sure what thats all about, but if youre looking for NAPA products, find a different store. Guy seemed to be just another Bay Area auto parts dude that doesnt give an F about his job. Not helpful at all

Very friendly, small town like shop. The fellow behind the counter even gave me a quarter for the meter and, at a later visit, charged my dead car battery overnight for free. It is my hope that shops like this thrive as they make the community better.
