This Resale Thrift Store had been on my list to stop at for months, and I was glad I did. The Owner was personable, and even shared his background with me prior to his store opening. He has a unique selection of just about everything, so if you like browsing for a special item, this is the perfect neighborhood place. I bought several things, one being an old shoelace gadget, I really liked. I did note that his prices were somewhat high in comparison to other local "thrift" stores in Milwaukee, especially on collector items, but I realize that this is his livelihood, so I had no problem paying a little extra for an item you wouldnt find except maybe online. With that said though, I think some people would disagree with the name thrift. Resale or Consignment might be more appropriate since I expect rock bottom prices at these types of stores, but then along with that comes a lot of junk not really worth your time. This Store is Definitely worth going to for the higher caliber of merchandise. I hope it stays around a long time since I believe in supporting our Communities by shopping Local. Support Local Businesses!

My only real complaint is that the merchandise is extremely unorganized, making the shop look cluttered and sloppy. However, the owner was very friendly and helpful, the prices were reasonable, and the selection was diverse and vast. I went there to purchase crutches for my father while he was recovering from surgery. I had never bought crutches before and didnt know anything about what would fit his needs. The owner walked me through the various options, explaining the differences and the purpose each served. After helping me decide which was the best fit for my father, he assured me that if they werent the right choice for any reason, he would provide a full refund and work with me to find the correct pair. In the end, they were a perfect match. He is surely a knowledgeable man.

I spoke with the owner about buying a chair. He gave me an original price of just under $200, but said he wasnt exactly sure on that. When I called back the next day, he said $225, which was fine. The chair was for my dad, we didnt get to the store due to weather and the fact that my dad doesnt get around well for four days. Once there the price of the chair is now $350. Originally said hed honor the $225, then changed and said he wanted $300, which dad couldnt afford. After a few days came up with the extra money, just called and he now says he wants the $350. Poor customer service. Cant see that the store will be around for long. All prices were inflated for the merchandise available.

I love this store. Pete is wonderful to our entire family. My son collects a lot of vintage items and we always visit Our Town first. Keep up the good work.
