I have been a customer of Thrift Store USA for several years. We call the store Charlies for one of the managers there. I am usually quite happy to shop there however today August 19 2017 visit was not a good one. Filling my cart with all kinds of goodies I stop over in my favorite section which houses the China depression glass and things if that nature...when I see these beautiful cups and saucers...4 cups to be exact and 6 saucers. I comment on how beautiful they are and the tags says cup&saucers $34.00. I think its too much and so I leave them. As I walk toward the area where the antiques are housed I see the matching teapot to the cups and saucers that I had seen before. Also there were 2 more matching cups all separately priced. I approached Charlie with which I thought was a simple problem to be addressed. It was clearly a set. He told me that some people like to buy the cups separately and teapot separately....when I pointed out to him that clearly the cups that I found separately priced made up for the 2 cups that were missing for the 6 saucers and 4 cups. So he would not admit the obvious mistake...said he could do nothing thats the way they price things which is not how they do things there. So I left all of what I was going to purchase right there. I know had I talked to anybody in the back they would have fixed that for me but he said that they were not there and that he was the manager.

This is one of my favorite thrift stores. The people are very nice and the prices are great! Its huge and the selection is great. If youre interested in a piece of furniture, Charlie will usually give you a break on it, if you ask him. They also have a military day discount and a senior (55 years old) day discount. I disagree with Kristine, that the place is filthy. On the contrary, I think its very clean compared to other thrift stores that I have been to. The "3 garments in a dressing room" is an inconvenience, but they do that so people dont have to wait behind that inconsiderate person who takes in 30 items at a time to try on.

One of the best thrift stores Hampton Roads has to offer. Largest thrift store I have been to. Great, diverse collection with generally fair prices. Nicely kept and staffed. They shine when it comes to clothing, books, and as far as thrift stores go, antiques. They lack a bit in electronics. Not the most charitable thrift store, but that probably is what makes it one of the nicest. It also runs on solar panels and is very energy efficient. Owner seems like a good guy. All in all, a great place to shop and just down the street from the second best thrift store in the area, Thrift Store City.

I’m a frequent thrifter. 1) Thrift USA is overpriced. Thrift City is a fraction of the price for the items found at Thrift Store USA. 2) I purchased used stilettos for $10 but I was disappointed to find that I can’t actually wear them because THEY USED PERMANENT MARKER ON THE SHOE instead of chalk or a price tag. I cannot get the ink out so they are useless and there are no returns. I learned my lesson I guess.

I shop at Thrift Store Usa all the time and have never had any problems. The staff there is very friendly and go out of their way to help. I love the way the store is organized and they also have 3 fitting room where as most thrift stores dont even have 1 but your only allowed to take 4 at a time but thats to keep the line moving. I work with the public also and you cant make everyone happy.

Employees very helpful. AWESOME selection. I am into audio/video and the items I purchased were vintage but sound every bit as good as the newer that is suppose to be better. Great prices on everything! If you think its expensive for a "thrift" store just do some comparison shopping and you will see the value you will be saving versus retail prices. Great selection on everything!!!!!!

Prices are very high. Seriously, its a "Thrift Store"! The bathrooms are beyond reproach!!! Completely Disgusting!!! Still I go looking in thrift stores periodically just because... Sometimes good deals are hiding. Well as of late the only treasure Ive found there are the occasions when you find an employee whos kind. I do not recommend this place.

This thrift store is unusually well organized. The employees obviously spend quite a bit of time making sure what you want is easy to find. The clothing is in good condition. There is also several pieces of furniture and numerous items for the kitchen. It is a modern building with glass walls and well lighted so it is easy to see the items.

Ok thrift store. Has a wide selection of stuff. Definitely one of the bigger thrift stores in the area. The prices are a little high in my opinion though. Im from Florida, and used to paying half for an item that was priced here. But overall they have a large selection and everything is organized. Probably will go back again.

I love this store!!!! Im in there all the time and I find nice clothes often, the downside is that it is quite expensive for it to be a thrift store. The things you find are usually worth because they are discontinued and in very good shape but I wouldnt suggest coming here with less than $10. Besides that, its amazing!!

Love this store! Has amazing selection for big furniture items, tons of clothes, book and record section, old antiques, new mattresses, rugs, amazing pictures everywhere. I go here at least once a month. Always something unique I find! No issues with any of the staff at all. Ever.

Workers are very rude, managers have no respect for customers, and filthy place. Was yelled at because I didnt know there was a limit in the dressing room and was ignored on numerous occasions when i had one simple question. Workers obviously hate their job and the shoppers.

I Love this place! Big assorment of all kinds of things at a very decent price. They kind of need a bigger parking lot, as So many people are there, but the store is worth it! I am from Fl and would look forward to our excursions there every time I visited!

I thought this place had a great selection, especially on clothing and couches. Its huge and the prices were great. I was looking for some clocks and patio furniture and was out of luck, but if youre looking for cheap clothes/couches, try this place. . . .

Huge thrift store, does have a strange smell, but then again most do have that smell. So all in all its pretty good. I love when I find markdowns too. Sometimes I feel like they have way too much that I only make it down two aisles before Im done.

Has a great selection of items though it is sometimes overpriced for my liking, but I still never leave here empty handed, and even if I return just days apart, Im able to shop the entire store all over again and find all new items available!

Love love love this place. I get lost in this store everytime I go. Theres something for everyone, whether its a book, furniture for college students, records, or simple kitchen appliances. They even have a small room with random antiques.
