Gigantic beer and wine selection, leaves some other departments lacking. New lower prices from Amazon acquisition went into effect today, but nobody knows when Amazon Prime customer benefits will become effective. Depending on what happens with that, WFM might become a viable shopping option for me. Cheese selection was small and unimpressive. Trader Joes seems to have more variety, although there are bulk packages of certain cheeses here that TJs doesnt offer. Nice produce section, definitely see lower prices on quite a few items. I didnt shop the entire store, since I was looking for specific items for a particular recipe from their website. Oddly enough, they didnt have one of the major ingredients, as their cookie selection is slim to none. How can you make lemon tiramisu without savoiardi? Not a ladyfinger was to be found. The olive bar was as comprehensive as my much-missed Valli Produce, the international grocery I long to find a cousin of here. This store seems to emphasize prepared foods to the detriment of other things. Its quite different from WFMs Ive been to in other places Ive lived, but maybe thats because theyre from here?

I regularly visit the store to buy groceries. Occasionally, I found the fruit I bough to home were rotten although it looks pretty good outside, like huge organic mango, i bought four and all of them were rotten and were not eatable. Last Sunday, I bought $3.99/ lb organic cluster tomato, it looked pretty and very fresh. But when I ate it, I spilled out immediately because it tastes so moldy. I let my whole family to taste it to make sure it was not my problem. They were all sure it tasted pretty bad moldy. I called customer service to report it, but had no time to return tomato to store. This Sunday I went to store and bought the pretty and fresh organic $3.99/lb tomato again and I thought they should notice the issue and get other kind tomato, but when I tasted again at home, still moldy although it was not that bad as the one I bought the other Sunday. Because tomato looks pretty fresh,so moldy taste was not caused by rotten, then it could be chemical things, that really scares me. I started to doubt whether I really got the quality healthy stuff with high price I paid.

We have been to several Whole Foods stores in DFW and this one by far has the worst customer service. Some of the cashiers dont bother greeting you or even looking your direction when you check out. The last one ignored me when I spoke to him. Do they interview these young men before they hire them? If this was an isolated indecent, I would not have taken the time to write this review. 25 years ago, I worked at Krogers and we provided much better service. Can you imagine if Nordstroms offered such shoddy service? They would lose half their clientele in a month. Whole Foods serves a niche market so they really dont have much competition. Sprouts and Trader Joes dont have near as many organic products. Notwithstanding, the food is excellent and the majority of the other staff are courteous and helpful.

Out of all the Whole Foods, this is the best one in the world. I love the grill bar and the build your own sandwiches there. Only at Plano does it exist. I have eating there for many years and always is top notch quality. I am sad to see Fransico who worked there for many years and made my chicken sandwich leave, but the other staff also get it right to perfection. LOVE IT SO MUCH. Also, the Asian bar is also awesome with their orange and lemon chicken. Only there once again can you get it. THE BEST! Only one downfall. The cookie bar is open and always exposed to flies. All the other places have a glass case. I dont understand why that is like that. They should really upgrade that. Always see flies around there.

One stop shop for HEALTHY FOOD! These guys never cease to amaze me with the variety and quality in everything from produce to ethnic foods. Every employee there has a vast knowledge of the store and of general health food and cooking knowledge. If your new to the vegetarian lifestyle or just want to cook something out of the ordinary these guys will have it, and know about it. As for price, I think it would take a fairly ignorant person to walk into a Whole foods store, look at organic FRESH produce and compare prices with Walmart.

So disappointed with this whole foods. The store was a mess, they were out of so many things, carts all over the parking lot but the worst part was the customer service. When I pay $50 for a small bag of groceries I expect for the cashier (Kilee according to the receipt) to at least greet me when I walk up and not be texting instead. It didnt help matters that when she did finally ask me if I found everything ok and I said no and told her my concerns she acted like she could care less. I will never shop here again.

Its very discouraging when you have a store manager whos bagging your groceries, however, she wont be quiet for a few minutes since she deemed it necessary to keep talking to the cashier about the band, Extreme. I must have been invisible to her since I also had to repeat that I brought my own bag. I had trouble hearing the cashier since the store manager was talking rather loud. I had to interrupt her conversation about a stupid band so I can tell the cashier something. Really?!

I work in Carrollton during the business week and head to Whole Foods almost every other day, whether its for healthy snack, or a fabulous meal from one of their cafes or buffet. There are many products here that Ive noticed are cheaper than other health food places. The Coffee shop inside is a little expensive and doesnt taste that great. Whole Foods produce will juice any produce for you for free with the purchase of their vegetables or fruits.

If you live in the area. Butt have not been to this location. Let me say no two locations are alike. From the sugary confections of the bakery to the vast coffees of the coffee bar. The prepared foods are the freshest and are prepared by people who are passionate about food. Ive been too other Whole Foods Market Stores. And by far love this location the most. Now go try them out. Live, love and Eat.

Great service, great food, great produce - but everything is more expensive than it should be. Just compare something ordinary like Simply Orange orange juice... itll be 30% higher at Whole Foods and its the exact same product as at a Walmart or Tom Thumb. Everything is higher at Whole Foods. And anything in produce will be three times what Sprouts will be charging.

Of course, the common joke is that Whole Foods should actually be called "Whole Paycheck". With the extra price, though, youre paying for the extra quality and possible health benefits provided in abundance by the stores products. Now I wont say that the prices are justified per se, but many people choose this store as their go-to market for a good reason.

Full disclosure: I used to work at this location. That said, the prep-foods department is the best in town, the staff is well trained and know their stuff (big props to the cheese and beer departments). Check out lines can get a bit long on weekends, so go very early or very late.
