I visited Family Thrift for the first time about a month ago. I have been living in El Paso for more than 2 decades and have never had a chance to visit. The store is fully stocked without dressing rooms, so you need to know your size to a T. The reason for my low, low rating is because I am a tall white, slender female who was treated VERY poorly when I didnt speak Spanish to the lady ringing up my items. She started speaking ill of me to her co-workers before I even had a chance to speak up....in Spanish. I have been married to a 2nd generation Mexican for 20 years, have taken a Spanish Language school in the interior of Mexico and understand & speak Spanish just fine. Too bad that she and her co workers didnt know that. Its sad that I was misjudged and spoken to like a pig. I will never return, nor recommend this shop.

First of all, the place isnt the cleanest, tight quarters and overly loud music. I had ordered about 6 gorditas and they ended up giving me burritos. When i came back to tell them the order was wrong, they werent very friendly about it. They took the burritos back and went in the back room, then they gave me my order of gorditas. The food was awful, soggy, almost raw. Just wanted to say to anyone who goes here or wants to.. Demand good service and check your orders.

I will never again shop here, I was just there today and found a couple cute clothes for my 2 year old son. As we were walking to checkout he saw a plastic dinosaur on the shelf so I told him I would get it for him. At check out they told us they couldnt sell him the dinosaur because it didnt have a price tag.... He was heartbroken and started crying I told them I didnt want any of it and left. Horrible experience. Never again.

Wow this is a huge store and from what I saw the prices were real reasonable. My only complaint is they sort clothing according to color and not size, even the plus size was thrown in with regular sizes. But if you have 10 hours to browse through all the racks you can probably find some good deals.

Do not shop here! I did not know it was cash only so I kindly asked to put one of the shirts back and the manager came over talking about me in spanish saying why am I getting stuff that I cant afford like seriously I know spanish idiot! Im extrememly dissatisfied with this dumb!

I really liked this place. The staff keeps everything orderly and color coded. I was able to find name brand clothing that had never been used for amazing prices. I will visit again. It was a lot of fun and it feels great to get great deals on clothes.

I really like the store. Lots and lots of clothes. Some of the items are WAY overpriced, but if you look around long enough, youre sure to find a deal. I plan to shop there again.
