I went in this store Weds July 8,2015 to purchase a cabinet I had seen that Monday. I live in Arlington & didnt have a way to hall it so the sales associate gave me the phone number of a guy that would deliver it for me for a fee. I noticed one of the shelves was missing (glass) so I asked if they would be willing to lower the price $299 I was told rudely only if I hauled it that day. I called the guy he said he could deliver it but he wouldnt be able to pick it up until the following morning. The operations manager SYLVESTER said if I wanted the 10% Id have to hope it was still available the next day when the guy came at open to pick it up. So although I was willing to pay for it in full minus 10% they were not willing to hold it until the following morning. Horrible its not like I was asking them to hold it unpaid for. Wednesdays are half off on clothing but this particular store doesnt consider shoes as clothing however shoes are in the clothing department & shoes are clothing. I thrift every Wednesday and this is one over priced rude place. Everything is donated & the proceeds are supposed to take care of those in need which is one of the reasons prior to this I shopped with the Salvation Army !! Sylvester told me he couldnt give me shoes for half off because they arent clothing thats like saying a jacket isnt clothing I said lets be honest its not that you cant its that you wont he said youre right. Again very very rude I will continue to shop in Mansfield & Texas as they value their customers shoes & purses are included on the half off & items arent priced as if they were brand new. The Salvation Army is supposed to be based around Christian values etc no this place & its managers are all about money! Tried to call the Big Manager Major something left several messages even called Atlanta GA to no avail again Sylvester is rude & I will make sure everyone knows this particular location isnt about God and taking care of the customer but about taking free donated items and jacking the price up!

I have shopped at the Salvation Army Store for the past three (3) years...I am always treated very well. Everyone at the Inwood and Harry Hines Store have always offered the highest Level of Customer Service. I have never been disappointed. I have not received this level of Customer Service at Most Department Stores and Boutiques I have shopped in...The Salvation Army Store at Inwood and Harry Hines; is one of my favorite places to shop. Several of my Friends Shop there as well... God Bless you Salvation Army for all the Good you do in our Communities, and indeed all over the Globe. I admire, and respect all the Good Folks who work at Salvation Army. They are improving their lives, and the lives of some of us who walk through your doors. I always feel blessed when I go in... Again Thank you for all you do Salvation Army, and God Bless all those who are employed or Volunteer with this Honorable and Timeless Organization. Dee McQuirk Dallas, Texas PS I not only Shop with Salvation Army, but I donate goods as well!

Pricing structure doesnt make any sense. Stuff from Forever 21 priced at $12.99, 90s handbag $24.99, Betsey Johnson handbag $24.99... It seems like they throw random prices on stuff. A lot of out of style off brand clothes were marked $12.99 and $9.99. I guess the inconsistency could be a benefit if you have the patience to dig through the racks. The different sizes of clothes are not signed as being that size, everything is hodgepodged together. They did have a lot of really nice furniture. Apparently almost everything is 50% on Wednesday, the rest of the week its only one color thats 50%, which is indicated by a colored block on the mirror near the register, but no sign that says hey, this color is 50% off this week. Not impressed.

Too expensive! Im a thrift store person and anything I could find at another store for $25-40 was $190 here. Forget it. The furnishings are highend, overstuffed chairs/sofas and far too expensive for a thrift store. I second what someone else here said regarding the price of clothing. Off the charts for a thrift store. I drove a long way to this store and after 2 mins saw it was a complete waste of time. I used to see lots of casual chairs and furnishings at Salvation Army Store years ago. Now its all expensive high quality that most cant pay for.

Jewelry: I always come in here after work & look for some cool jewelry & I asked if I could see some today. A manager that I hadnt seen before told me it was closed. I mentioned that I was going to purchase some iteams? She said no because they were short handed. However, as I sit here and type this review two people are outside smoking? Dont waist your time because they are not about to waist their time & they are not about customer service nor do they want to make any money? Wont be coming back here! They just lost my service!!!

Big selection of clothes and furniture but: regular prices are too high for stuff. Used mens dress shirts for 12.99? Good quality used furniture but also the regular prices are too high. 175 bucks for a used coffee table? Best to shop clothes on Wednesdays, when most clothes are 50% off. CHECK the condition thoroughly, they keep stock on the racks with holes, missing buttons, etc.

I`ve been going here for 20 years and I have to say it has really hit rock bottom. Yes, I suppose you can on occasion find a bargain but they are very few and far between. If the SA didn`t return the most to the community of all the large thrifts I would be more negative about it. But, this place is really depressing now. Come on guys, throw us a bone!

Although of course it varies from day to day, this location is usually SUPERB for: home decor (VERY stylish stuff) picture frames (huge selection) brass stuff (candlesticks, whatnot) wicker baskets of all sorts brand name clothes (though of course you have to dig) do NOT shop here for: furniture shoes ...they are over priced :)

I went to donate some clothes twice this week for the people affected by the Hurracaine. The main building at Harry Hines is the collection place. Enter thru the big gates, the man took the bags and asked me if I was needing a receipt. I say No Thanks and smiled. I am not doing this for tax purpose! Easy place to donate.

Nice stuff at good price can be had. Customer service depends on who you get...really rude or really nice. Guess theyre a work in progress. Be sure you want what you buy because its non-refundable. What I cant understand is a total failure to post the store hours anywhere on a website!

Very over priced merchandise. On 1/2 off days the prices still are higher than Goodwill and other thrift stores in the Dallas area. 12.99 for a used skirt... 19.99 to 29.99 for a dress? Come one! Cut that in half and still outrageous. What Christian values are these?

the store sells everything they get so expect to get dirty and over used things id say not a third hand store but a nine or ten hand prices too high and the furniture was over priced when i start thinking about better get it new its mean they are doing something wrong
