I have spent a lot of time at the Tinderbox on Poplar Ave. When they announced the downtown location, I imagined I would occasionally spend time there at events and maybe every few weeks. After It opened, the South Main store quickly became my regular shop. With a selection of smokes as diverse as the Poplar location and a growing group of new faces joining the current regulars, the South Main location is the best place to buy cigars downtown. In my review of the Poplar location, I spoke of customer service, price, and selection. South Main adds a very friendly and growing community to the mix and a lot of other new and interesting businesses. Tinderbox is within walking distance of a convenience store, a sundry store and several wonderful restaurants. An afternoon or evening out with a meal and a cigar has never been easier in this town. This location just opened. The owners are really trying to get for feel for just how late they should keep it open. If you just Googled the shop and you are in the area near their posted closing time, give them a call or drop by. If there is a business case, they will probably stay open. Come meet everyone and have a great time. Finally, I mentioned price briefly when referencing my previous review. Lynn, the owner, is committed to giving customers the same great pricing they have in the other stores. They are the best shop for cigars in Memphis.
