We stayed at a cabin at NACO in Hohenwald overnight. Upon walking in the room, there was a musty smell. We were anticipating this as it is a cabin in a wooded area. Unfortunately, that was not all. There were large spiders in the shower, blood stains on the curtains, the bathroom floor sagged with water damage, the beds were uncomfortable and aged, and mold in the window A/C unit. The website was not a correct representation of the cabins and it is sad to see how much this place has declined over the years. I have been staying at NACO off and on all of my life. I can honestly say that there have not been many changes over the last 30 years. I would love to see them put the money that they get from their campers and put it into the preserve. On the bright side, the pool was recently repaved and looked nice but the lounge chairs were dingy and dirty. Save your money and get a room in a hotel in town. Youll be closer to other activities and will get similar if not better sleep.

My husband went to naco in Hohenwald tn with his deceased dad card not only would they not let him in they confiscated his card?????? His dad has been deceased for 30 yrs and we have gone out there with same card for all these years my husband has a heart condition and I want to let u know he was treated like he was a criminal when I called there she accused him of being rude and he was not allowed back on something his family owns?? really for real this is how u handle a complaint I have never heard of such??? Told me he could have been arrested??? My husband has of 40 yrs has NEVER been physical with anyone?? I am very disappointed and will let folks know how this turns out

I personally prefer backwoods camping, but now that I have small children this place cant be beat. Its absolutely beautiful out there and tons of stuff for the family to do. The trading post store is reasonable in price, the restrooms/showers are kept very clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Its a great place! (Notice the only person complaining is someone who got caught using someone elses pass because they were to cheap to pay $30)

The camping experience was great. But for them to hike the price up to $27 FOR JUST VISITORS is pathetic! And why does the maintenance man drive around all day and NOT FIX ANYTHING. THE WOMENS BATHROOM HAD 3 OUT OF 5 STALLS OUT OF ORDER! not to mentipn the sign said it was cleaned that day but yet they didntput paper towels in the whole weekend! For $27 a night I would think the paper towels would ve filled back up daily

We rented a cabin right on the lake. We loved the screened in porch. The pool was nice and clean. We fished every day. Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. We loved every minute.
