I live up the street from save-a-lot so I come here often. The prices are good. My main issue is the meat and produce section. Every single time I get fruit/vegetables or buy chicken and beef its always ALWAYS spoiled!!! At first I thought it was my refrigerator but I now know that its SAVE-A-LOTs fault! They put this rotten spoiled meat on sale and when you get it home the meat smells terrible! I cant tell you the number of times Ive had to return this crap. Everything else in the store is fine but I wont be purchasing any more meat from save-a-lot again. Go to Aldis, it has the same prices and much fresher food.

A little gem in Wilkinsburg. I went here for a Mexican themed party, and fed 30 people for under $100. Lots of lower cost brands than Giant Eagle just as good. Big bags of shredded cheese lower cost than anywhere Ive seen. Be prepared to box your own items.
