I dont understand how these places (which include Salvation Army and Good Will) can justify their inflated prices. If you sell a "designer " item, which was DONATED, for more than a non-designer item, you are still placing the burdon on those who cannot afford quality things. Essentially you are telling them that, we offer quality items as well as not so nice things. If you have the cash you get the nice stuff...otherwise, the dirty rags are also available. Its reprehensible behavior and "they" all say the same thing..."we are trying to raise money for a good cause". How cant you understand that those very people you are claiming to help, are the SAME ones you are preventing from buying certain things based on income? Stop wasting labor on researching the cost of clothes, etc. If all shirts cost the same, all pants cost the same, you save time and money. But that is not the idea, profit is! Donate to local churches. That way you know your items are going to those in need for free or practically free.

Not sure which Rescue Mission location came to pick up furniture I was donating.. which was a sofa sleeper, loveseat and rug and its ok if it didnt meet their standards, it was in very good condition but because of it being a sleeper the tag on the mattress had to be on or after year 2007. I get that. Some person who has nothing would be happy to have something to sit on or sleep on but I do understand that the Rescue Mission has rules, and apparently if they cant make money on an item they wont "give" to a person in need which is really sad. What I dont understand is when I asked the men to move it to the curb and would write a check for a donation to the Rescue Mission, they refused, apparently my money doesnt meet their standards either. Under these circumstances I would never again be willing to give a donation to the Rescue Mission whether it be a monetary donation or a material item.

Flip flops for $6, come on thats ridiculous !!!! I can get em at old navy for $1. Ur prices are outrageous ! As a single mother with only one income I thought I would find gently used clothes at a cheaper price, but I can get new clothes cheaper than a thrift store !!!! Thats a problem !!!!!
