Vell, ok. Their meats are overpriced. You can get the same meats at a much much lower price at United Meats in Windsor Terrace and maybe even at Union Market just around the corner (but if you live near Fleishers its hard to schlep all the way to United without a bike or car). Several times I tried to buy from Fleishers a simple cut, such as a ribeye or a shoulder pork, and they didnt have it. I learned that at Fleishers you cant just go in and get the cut you want. You have to either get what they happened to have on display or nothing at all. Basically, its not a butcher shop but more of a meat store that sells both raw and cooked products. Their prepared products seem to be prepared by the same hand, so if your palate is on the same page as Fleishers, you in luck. Youll be happy, while shelling out some good dough. But if your palate isnt necessarily identical to theirs, and thats how mine is, then its a hit-and-miss. Their smoked turkey pie is fantastic (but, really, $15 for a small pie?), but the sausages vary. Some are good, some I found to be just so-so and some not very good (the quality is good, Im referring to the taste). I might reorder one kind of sausage (I forgot which..) but not the rest. Overall I think Fleishers is a good addition to the neighborhood, but I cannot see them as the go-to butcher shop, even though I live two blocks away. I will still continue to shop at United, since they always have what I want, at very good prices, and without the hipster attitude. (Just to be clear: I have no relation to United, Im simply a happy customer.) I will buy at Fleishers only at special occasions, and I believe that most shoppers will do the same.

I stopped in this charming butcher shop yesterday for a little pre holiday errand and was so pleasantly surprised. The store smells so fresh and clean. Not like industrial cleaner but little fresh and well maintained meat. The roasting chickens in the window didnt hurt matters! The gentleman who helped me was spending his first day on the job and was already very knowledgeable and helpful. I got advice and I picked up some beef stew meat and lamb bacon for an extremely well received Boeuf Bourguignon. It was a lovely shopping experience and a pleasure to patronize a business whose ethics are so admirable. Thank you!

Fleisher Craft Butchery provides the best meat products available in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Each time I shop there I feel like I am getting the variety and quality that Id expect of a high-end butcher. You are paying for quality here and its worth it. Ive purchased large portions of brisket twice and its always top quality. Highly recommended.

The butcher shop you always wanted, located in the center of Park Slope. Looking for grass fed meats and uncurred bacon cut thick, this is the store for you. The staff is both helpful and nice. Help them out, when you order let them know if they can go over the amount you asked for. IE pound of bacon and you can go over the pound.

Great (very) high - end butcher. I think. Bought a Thanksgiving bird, followed their instructions to the letter, and had I not been paying close attention would have turned it to a cinder by doing so. That said : clean shop, lots of staff trying to be helpful, and at the end of the day it could have been my oven, right?

Fresh and every changing meats. Ive come here for ground beef which is lean and of high quality. The steak while expensive, you know exactly is worth every dollar. Only place Ive found that has pork sausages the way the Irish and English make sausages. Delish!

Bill is a great, his staff are welcoming. Id brush my teeth with their BBQ sauce if my dentist allowed it. Get the chips so you can scoop up all the Q that falls from you bun, drink it up with Kelso brew - cant go wrong!

Amazing selection of Grass-Fed and Organic meats here. Though pricey, you can taste the quality. Beef is just... earthier/ beefier.

False advertising, most of they meats they sell say grass fed but are actually grain finished.
