I am utterly disgusted by this establishment. My friend is getting married in a month & I had my measurements wrongly taken with a lady named Ellen. When my dress came in, it was very big & I was told I had to get alterations done. Louise (the owner) told me I had to pay for everything (including the alterations that was an extra whopping $95) that day & so I did. I wish I hadnt because I soon realized they took my measurements wrong when I went in a few days later. Rather than apologizing or offering me a refund on the alterations, their response was, "I never make mistakes. Ive been doing this for years. You must have lost weight." Keep in mind, Ive been the same weight since I was 17 years old. My weight has not fluctuated. Completely taken aback and insulted by this comment, I was brushed off as other customers walked in. The truth is that they made a mistake and had me pay the penalty for it. Its not about the money clearly since I already paid it off, its about principal. They will purposely order you the wrong dress size so that they can charge you for the alterations. My experience with this unprofessional and shady business led me to write this distasteful review in the hopes of warning others. Please do NOT waste your time and money at this place, especially for a special and important event such as a wedding.

Louise and her staff are amazing! Always friendly, helpful, patient, honest, and never pushy! I got everything I needed for my wedding there- my dress, veil, headpiece, jewelry, invitations, mother of bride and groom dresses, tuxedos, limos, my 9 bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dress! Plus, everyone got their alterations done there. My mother got very ill a few months before my wedding and couldnt make it in to the store for her measurements to order her dress.. would you believe Louise sent one of her employees to my house so she could measure my mom for her dress!? We were so very grateful. :) Everything was perfect! I am very short and in between sizes so my mermaid dress needed a lot of work at the bottom-the seamstress was amazing, patient (I am a neurotic haha) and did everything I asked for at a much lower cost than most other stores! I found a headpiece that matched PERFECTLY with the belt on my dress and Louise hand made a cathedral veil with scattered Swarovski crystals that was breathtaking. To make a long story short, this is a one stop shop and the staff will bend over backwards to make sure you get the fairytale wedding youve always dreamed of. Walk in a bride to be, leave like family.

When I walked into the store I was met with a man (in a bridal gown store?!) with his back to us talking into the back office (I assume). Finally, a teenage girl came over to us and told us we could look around. I never met the owner nor do I think she was even there, which is odd considering when I made my appointment she was talking about how shes been in business for almost 30 years and will be able to definitely pick something out for me...I even described what kind of dress I was looking for. She also told me she had the dresses I was looking for at her store and when I arrived, they had only one. My Mom, my Maid of Honor and I searched for dresses ourselves and they also helped me try them on, zip them up, ect. The store was in poor condition and looked make-shift. If youre looking for traditional, poofy, bejeweled dresses, this is probably the place to go. But if you want something elegant, timeless and beautiful, and some actual service and attention, look elsewhere aka Manhattan.

My sister(bride to be) other sister and stepmother were treated like family...Louise helped my sister pick out her fairy tale wedding dress I loved how she was able to take all the ideas we were throwing at her and find what we wanted. She was even able to convince my stepmother to buy a gown which Ive never seen her wear.... Definitely would recommend her to anyone looking for someone that goes beyond her duties to get you what want for your special day.... Was treated way better then we were at Davids bridal

Louise made my mothers wedding fantasies come to life. Shes the sweetest woman I know. I love her and her staff. Their hours vary at times, but when shes there, shes there for YOU. Love her business. Cant wait to go prom shopping at her shop

When I came in and no one greeted me. I had an appointment and I was being rushed to try on wedding dresses when theres wasnt any other customers there. It was horrible customer service.

Louise is amazing! I purchased my wedding gown, 2 mothers gowns and my entire bridal party from her. She was so helpful. The seamstresses are top notch! I recommend Gowns by Louise.
