DO NOT EVER buy anything at this store. We purchased our bedroom set at Ashley Home Furniture in Salem, NH in April and are STILL waiting for the nightstand in August. We had told Skip our sales guy that we didnt need the furniture until we moved into our new house the first week of June and he said that we would have it right after. They NEVER called to tell us it was in. My fiance called in June and they said everything was in except the nightstand so they were waiting for that to come before they called us. We needed a bedroom set so we told them to deliver it ASAP. Since we didnt have our nightstand we called to order a second one and Skip assured us that doing that would not hold up the delivery of either nightstand and they would both be in soon. We scheduled a delivery and even called to confirm it and they didnt call to give us a time block the day before so we had to call again. They told us we werent in the system so my fiance had to get upset in order for them to come deliver it the next day. He had planned to take the day off from work so he was upset. They did deliver it, but didnt put the bed together properly so a couple weeks later it broke when he went to move it. Another call into the store. They said they would send someone out to fix it so he took another day off from work and they didnt say when they were coming so he called again. They had the repair man call him back and he didnt have our address because AGAIN we apparently werent in the system. He did come and temporarily fixed the bed rail and ordered us a replacement. This furniture is poorly made also. So a few more weeks go by and we hear NOTHING from them so my fiance has to call again. Again no one there can get us any information and he is transferred to Troy who is useless and all talk. He then speaks to Bob who gets the bed rails ordered. They are delivered to our house, but no word on the nightstands or that someone can install the bed rails. (we are not chancing doing this ourselves and breaking them with no recourse). Bob then has my fiance working with Troy who is still useless and we are hoping to get our nightstands and bed fixed on Friday. If not, we will be demanding a refund and go to Jordans. I have done all of my furniture shopping at Jordans until now and will continue after this. Weve had the rest of the furniture for our house flawlessly delivered by Jordans. You pay more, but you dont know how worth it Customer Service is until you deal with a nightmare like Ashely Home Furniture, Salem NH! Spare yourself the headaches please!

I went there, Salem NH store, to purchase a living room set. I had "Buddy" as a sales rep. He wasnt pushy at all, I found what I liked and purchased it. First of all the prices in the store and on the web site are totally different. So I mention the website is cheaper, he says well Im gonna give you a 10% discount. Ok, so that discount ends up being the prices on line!! What a scam!! Then he says you will have your furniture within 2 weeks, Well that actually meant it would be in the warehouse in 2 weeks and then they call and set up a delivery date. Of course I had a problem with that also, they dont deliver Sundays or Mondays. Not being able to take more days off, I give them a list of 5/6 days that I am home. Well they are not in my area those days!! Mind you, I already sold my other living room set so I had nothing in the room. I played phone tag with different managers to get this rectified, as "Buddy" said 2 weeks. I told them I wanted to cancel my order because they could not accommodate me and argued with them about charging me a 10% restocking fee, what do you mean a restocking fee- its still in your damn warehouse!! After 3 days of this, I got my furniture. Not only do they not give you a care kit as other stores do but "Buddy" never told me that the furniture is not treated or protected from stains, nor did he offer this to me. After having the furniture a couple weeks, Im noticing every little thing stains it, so I called and asked if the furniture was treated, oh that was when I finally talked to someone after being on hold for 13 minutes hanging up and calling back, NO your furniture is not treated, when you purchase it they offer this service for more $$. Great, more $$ and I was never offered this service. So the woman I talked to says you will have to find a company on your own to come out and treat your furniture!! REALLY??? Worse experience ever! Not only is thier customer service poor, but the managers, and furniture SUCK too!! They are thieves and liars!! Dont shop there!! I personally think we should all contact the BBB and maybe even " Hank Philippe Ryan" on channel 7 to investigate these crooks!!

I would recommend going here if you are looking for decent furniture but terrible customer service. My girlfriend and I recently purchased a complete bedroom set. The quality of the furniture is pretty good (although 2 drawers on the bureau do not seem to stay closed very well). My big issue is the mattress I ordered in the store was a firm what was delivered was a plush. I was at work when the furniture delivered and my girlfriend wasnt aware the mattress I ordered was supposed to be a firm. I realized the mistake when I arrived home that night and called the store in the morning to request the mattress be swapped. After being put on hold for 5 minutes, the salesman (Jeff) I placed the initial order with got on the phone. I told him the situation and he put me on hold again for at least another 5 minutes. Someone else picked up after being on hold for an extended period of time and asked who I was calling for, I informed them again why I was on the phone and who I was calling for. The salesman, Jeff, picked up the phone and said there wont be an issue with swapping out the mattress and someone would call me within the next week to setup the swap. After hanging up the phone I sent a follow up email to their customer service email address reconfirming my recent conversation. Well the following week came with no call. On the Friday at the end of the week that someone was supposed to call I called again and believe it or not was told someone would be calling me shortly. I also sent follow up emails to the customer service email and Jeffs work email address. Still no call or follow up. I have all but given up. You would like to think that when a store makes an error they would be quick to fix it, but you wont find that at the Ashley Furniture Homestore in Salem, NH. The only reason I gave them a second star is my girlfriend informed me that the delivery team was extremely friendly and helpful. If you decide to go there dont expect honest service and if the salesman, named above, approaches you I would recommend asking for someone else.
