Bought a Vehicle From Cars Unlimited. They promised that they would make repairs for me for cost, forever. They even told me I could bring in my other vehicles to be repaired at cost. The very next day after buying the vehicle I found that I had no brakes and that the brake line was rusted. through. I called and they offered to fix the line free of charge. So far, everything was better than I expected it to be. 2 days later, I could not start my vehicle. I called and talked to them. They angrily told me that they would fix it for free, (I never expected them to do this in the first place) but that I could never bring my vehicles in for cost repairs again. So much for that lifetime thing huh!! I chose to take the vehicle to my real mechanic and he repaired the positive batter terminal Cable. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I never expected free repairs on a used vehicle, even after such a short time, they offered! I thought they where just trying to uphold there reputation as a reputable car dealer who doesnt sell cars that break down 24 hours later, then 72 hours later. Guess I was wrong. When I bought it, they told me they had put brand new tires on the vehicle. I was a bit bummed because I was sure they got the cheapest tires that would fit on the rims. Well I was only half right. The tires they placed on the rims caused me to fail inspection because they where prematurely worn. They where prematurely worn because they had placed a tire too small on the 8" wide rims. Dont believe the load that places like this shovel on that you know what you are getting buying a used car as is. A lot of used car lots now come with limited warrantees, even in a partial coverage way to build there reputation and protect and build their customer base. Just understand that is not what you get buying a vehicle from Cars Unlimited, who does not stand behind their vehicles, care about their customers, and will get you anyway they can to make an extra buck!!

DO NOT GO HERE TO PURCHASE A CAR! I saw a Toyota Avalon on Craigslist and drove from St. Louis to check it out. Took it for a test drive and the tire sensor light was on. Karen told me it was because it was a "cold" day and there was no problem with the air pressure sensor system. Trusting her word, I purchased the vehicle. Upon examining the paperwork, that was provided on the car, Karen had taken the car to get new tires and service center/tire store, noted that the sensor system on the right rear tire needed repair ($144). So of course she didnt fix it, but chose to misrepresent the condition of the air sensor system. She even said again at the signing of the paperwork that it was the cold air and her own cars air sensor system light was on. Additionally, the last 3 pages of the CarFax were missing. I purchased a CarFax, at my expense, to find out the car had failed the emissions inspection and then passed the inspection, 2 days later, by some miracle - since no mention of what was repaired to make it pass inspection. And the kicker was that the emissions inspection expired 2 days after I purchased the automobile! So I had to make the repair and have it inspected again before I could register and title the car. As if this was not enough, while the car was at the dealership getting the air sensor system, I was informed that the front brakes were totally shot and would not pass inspection, and the battery is the wrong size for the car! So, $856 later, my car was finally able to pass inspection. As a customer, I forgot the first rule of purchasing a used car, BUYER BEWARE!!!

Looked at a car of theirs on Craigslist, showed up to look at the car and it was advertised as a Sharp vehicle had a few scratches and missing a door handle on the passenger side, radio screen didn't work and gas Guage didn't work. I had a vehicle trade they looked at and basically told me my asking price was way too high because I told him I didn't want there trade in offer that I would sell it outright for about 4k. The boss I'm guessing is who he was proceeded to tell me id never sell it for that price because he couldn't. So I decided I wanted to think about buying their car and went to drive while I thought about it. Well I get in my car and it had been smoked in by the boss who test drove it. I'm sorry but if they don't have enough respect for a customers vehicle not to smoke in it when they are clearly a non smoker then I don't wanna know how they treat the vehicles on their lot. Had the smell of cigarettes in my car now and ashes every where. Beware if your looking for professional car sales experience. Absolutely appauled!

Ive bought two cars from this place and I am currently in the process of a third. I see some people choose to only say negative things about their experience. Its sad to see because all three of my encounters with them have been exactly what I would expect from a small business, very attentive personal service. I think The Car Store is a very reliable place to get a quality used car and the prices are reasonable. Remember people, you get what you pay for. Dont go looking for a $2000 car on Craigslist, a used car lot, or an individual and expect it to look and drive like a brand new car! This place has lots of great used cars , and if they do have an issue they take care of it! They even offer for you to take the vehicle to your own mechanic and have it checked out if youd like. You cant really ask for more than that! Top notch used car lot as far as Im concerned! Nice selection of cars to choose from in various price ranges! Keep up the good work Car Store!

Horrible experience with this particular wanna be Car Dealership.... Ken is an absolute Scam Artist to the full effect... I bought a Mini Van and tell me why this car did not take gas when trying to pump it. Take it back to this dumbass and he goes to the gas station with me and tries to pump gas in 1/2 full tank and it shoots gas out him he looks at me and says clearly it took five dollars so what are you saying mind you that was 7 minutes later it took 7 minutes to pump 5$ in.... He sold a car that clearly had fuel issues. He said it wasnt his fault. I looked at him and said and who in there right mind tests drives a car and takes ot to a gas station to invest gas on a test drive to see if the vehicle would pump gas. It did but literally 30 mins for a whole tank and once completely full it would stall out. Sad thing is he new about the issues and did nothing to help the situation even after taking it back 2 days after purchasing. Such a shame.....
