I have used Creve Coeur Camera for film developing and always trusted that they would do a good job handling my film. It is very expensive, especially when you are talking about a roll of medium format film with 12 shots. I gladly paid the price because I thought they would take good care of my precious film. Last December I took four rolls there. For developing, prints, a cd, and a contact sheet it was a total of $75. Imagine my surprise when one of my negatives had a grey foiled numbered sticker stuck to it. I was not very happy, but I didnt complain because honestly I didnt think the photo was the best, even though it was taken while on holiday in Paris. So this past month I took in some more film, four rolls of medium format that I shot at I WWII event in Rockford, IL. This time I only got the film developed. So when I went to scan the film myself I had found that they stuck another foil numbered sticker on a negative. Not only that, but there were also two pinholes next to the sticker. What made it even worse was that it was by far the best shot I got from the whole event. Never again.

Heres my suggestion: IF YOU WANT TO BUY A CAMERA AND YOU WANT SOMEONE TO EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT YOURE BUYING, GO TO SHILLERS CAMERA (just a couple of miles up the road)!! Their clerks are helpful, knowledgeable about what they sell, and very kind. This is the second time Ive been to a Creve Coeur Camera location. On both occasions I was unable to find a clerk that could adequately describe the technology in the Canon or Nikon camera lines, and the arrogance and rudeness of the clerk during my visit yesterday was absolutely appalling. I have never been spoken to so condescendingly in my life. I will NEVER step foot in a Creve Coeur Camera store again and I recommend against it to others also.

Its so nice to be able to spend my money in a locally owned camera shop like Creve Coeur Camera. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the inventory of product is impressive. Not only do they have great staff and quality products but since they are a local company they have the advantage of being able to connect to the local shutterbugs through facebook and twitter, offer classes and hold events at their shops which in my opinoin brings the photography community closer. Its just better that way!! Please support your local businesses that give back and I highly recommend to anyone shopping for a camera or accessories etc. try Creve Coeur Camera first!!

Every time Ive been to the store on Telegraph Ive been greeted and helped by very knowledgeable people. This last time was no exception. Sarah greeted us as we walked in and from the beginning was able to help us with what we wanted. As it turned out what we started out talking about isnt what we finally purchased. We ended up getting more then we originally expected for less money. We had gone to other Electronic stores looking for the better price only to find it where we should have started. Lesson learned, go where they know what theyre talking about. Creve Coeur Camera is the place to start your search for camera and video equipment.

Steve L. I went to your Creve Coeur location to have a print made. I was helped by Drew Pressy. He was very knowledgable and customer service oriented. I was having a print made of my brother and me as a gift to my mom. My brother passed away, so I knew that my mom would appreciate the reprint. I also told Drew about problems that I was having with my shoulder after 2 shoulder surgeries. I brought a frame in that needed clips on the back. He told me that if I brought them in the next day he would put them on the back of the frame. I always know to go to Creve Coeur Camera for excellent quality prints. Thanks again Drew!!!

For those who think its "expensive". I have shopped there and bought 2 cameras, each time they were cheaper than any big-box (Wally or Not-Best-Buy), and also as cheap as online. AND they let me play around with various cameras, the ones I was looking at plus alternatives I had not considered. Other places? The cameras are locked down, on a tether, have no battery, or some other hindrance. Here I got to try out every feature (and wear out the poor salesperson with questions!). By all means, give them a shot. Dont be intimidated, this was my first DSLR purchase and they are great!

I have taken three classes at CC Camera, purchased a lens for my DSLR, and have rented lenses from them on a handful of occasions. I keep coming back because the service is excellent (someone greets me upon entering and asks how they can be of assistance), their staff is knowledgeable (there is never a question I ask that they cannot answer), and the classes, taught by Ed (their resident photographer extraordinaire), are informative. I highly recommend you stop by their Creve Coeur location on Olive. And be sure to check out their Facebook page for tips, suggestions, and contests.

The reviews I have read here cant be honest reviews. They must be from the owners of Creve Coeur Camera. I have attempted to shop at their store on three occasions. It was a horrible experience each time. Rude and uninformed sales people. Sure they know more than the people at best buy but not much. Their rudeness and inability to care is what I will not tolerate. There are too many other places in town to buy cameras at better prices and with intelligent, informed and polite sales people. Dont waste your time going to creve coeur.

I ordered the single photo koozies from Creve Coeur Camera, and when they first arrived the order had been messed up due to a computer issue. After calling customer service, they re-printed my order at no additional charge, and expediated the delivery. Also, when my order was re-submitted they personally emailed the lab the screen shots as to make sure the order was accurate. I received the order quickly, and it was perfect Great customer service, fast remediation, and very helpful. Would defintely order from there again.

Ive been a customer for years! Ive bought camera bodies, lenses, a tripod, film (back in the day), memory cards, bags, filters and who knows what else. Ive even bought used gear from them. Why do I go back there? Simple - customer service. I can always count on friendly, knowledgeable people to help me. Try getting that from an online store where you cant even talk to a person! I usually go to the Fairview Heights store but Ive been to the main store a number of times also.

I have been a customer of Columbia Photo for years. Columbia Photo is now part of the Creve Coeur Camera company. Creve Coeur Camera company has increased the inventory at Columbia Photo and gave the store a fresh new look. I go to Columbia Photo because of the customer service and selection of photography equipment. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They are great help with making prints and enlargements. Clay has been so helpful with my photography questions

As a photographer, things continually come up and they do it when least expected. What I love about Creve Coeur Camera is that they have such a wide range of camera equipment and accessories that I need when Im on the spot. I have yet to find a store in the St Charles area that can supply what I need when I need it. To top it off, the prices are competitive and the staff always knows how to help me find the right things. I feel like Im at home when I step in the door!
