This CVS has polite people with many rude customers. All of which cannot stand when everyone comes in at the same time. None of which have patience or care about anyone else who also needs their prescription, and always in a rush which is dumb for a pharmacy in all honesty. Your life is being challenged, its on the line, any errors can potentially cause serious harm. On one note they are understaffed but thats the companys fault and partially the customers for all coming at the same time. While other customers do not come in all at the same time and are not in the pharmacy for over 10 mins. Its a place where people expect unrealistic customer service, they dont understand how the process works and because of that ignorantly go on angry rants to the employees about something they have no idea about. They dont realize that the pharmacy has no control over your doctor or insurance and runs into problems with those two bodies regularly, which in all means that it will delay your time to get your prescription. Dont get pissed at stuff that they cannot fix with a snap of a finger because it will never happen. Its a busy pharmacy with excellent staff. But the customers could be a little less nasty to them, and theyd have better luck, truly who wants to help someone who is just rude to them? Healthcare places are not really something you want to rush unless youre ready to risk your life getting the wrong medication, but I personally am not, so I have no problems with the place. Be smart about when you decide to pick up prescriptions and youll barely run into long lines. Problems are inevitable that will continue to be until the US government fixes healthcare access. -A human with realistic expectations

I grew up here in Aspen Hill, and this was once the Peoples Drug Store, a fairly friendly place that gave good service. Since CVS took over, the place became just another store in a huge chain that doesnt much care about the reputation of their individual branches. They totally dominate the market, and its not as if most people will take their business to the nearest Rite-Aid which is pretty horrid. Located in a slightly less crime-plagued shopping center in "a neighborhood in transition" this CVS serves a mixed community characterized by not-quite-open-warfare conflicts of classism and racism. Depending on which store clerks you encounter in the main part of the store and at the front checkout, you may greatly regret having taken a chance at shopping at the seedy end of Aspen Hill Shopping Center. I havent heard complaints about the pharmacy. CVS management, at least at this store, seems more determined to drive away customers -- especially long-time locals such as anyone who grew up here -- than they are in making changes in store policy or staffing. Certain staffers at this and at other CVS are openly abusive but management just doesnt care, or worse yet, are themselves inclined to racist/classist abusiveness that approaches the level of a paramilitary low-intensity conflict.

I had a prescription dropped off last monday. the girl said i was good to go. it will be ready to pick up on wednesday. i never got a phone call back. i have school and a 2 year old and lost track of time. i called TODAY , one week later from drop off, to get an update. they said my prescription is not ready/delivered because the doctor didnt write the quantity..... ! , its a nausea patch that goes behind your hear to prevent nausea after waking up from surgery - u only need ONE that lasts 3 days! as a pharmacist, he should have known that when i called! and i asked why no one called me or i wouldve called my doctor myself... "ur number is not in the system". r u serious?! now i was promised to wait another day.. lets see how long this takes. I also needed medicine for my son. they said they had it but it was going to take an hour to make. okay. i waited. walked around the shopping center. i came back, they said "its going to be another 10 minutes" which led to TWO hours of waiting! dont make promises. say an ESTIMATED time or i could have gone home and take care of my son and picked it up later.

I moved to the area recently and tried to get my prescription transferred from another to this one, which has never been a problem anyplace else Ive moved. This place said they needed my doctor to call them. They did and I called to confirm it was ready, they confirmed, but when I came to pick it up they couldnt find it. I had to come back another time. I mistakenly thought the next time would be easier but, despite again confirming before picking up, they said they couldnt even find me in the system and they said they had no record of my order! Horrible customer service. Will never go there again.

The Pharmacy is the worst. People leave angry and they never have your prescription on time. One time they even lost my prescription and had the nerve to blame me for it. It took me 5 days to get my medicine. You can stop there at 10pm and there is still a long line of people because they never have your medicine on time. They say to wait an extra 5 minutes and the next thing you know youve been there for 30 minutes if not more. The customer service is horrible . There is only one decent young lady that works there and the rest should be fired.

(My rating would have been no stars if I could.) I wish Id seen comments from others before I went to this pharmacy to pick up a prescription. LONG line (half way to back of store) and 1 person taking care of pickup. I used to use the Target pharmacy and that was great. Now that they switched to CVS they have not had drugs several times (never happened with Target). I figured that the switch would be good since there is a CVS branch closer to home than Target, but clearly CVS overall is not good. They have lost my business!d

Only once in 3 years have I had any trouble getting my prescriptions filled at Aspen Hill. Yes, there often is a line there, but it is the most convenient place for me. They carry a particular brand of a medication I need which I cant get at Giant. I like their refill phone service, and that you can set a time for pick up.

I live near by this CVS. It is always short of pharmacy staff. I REALLY mean always. Imagine always waiting a long line to drop off and longer line to pick up. Not to mention the missed orders. On an average day they will have one pharmacist and an assistant!!! I hate it but what can I do.

Terrible customer service. Got prescription wrong after 4 days. Made me wait 10 minutes & then continued to see other people when they finally filled mine out. Then didnt apologize or say anything like thanks or goodbye.

Wait to drop off. Wait to pick up. Two lines. Customers time not important. Customers are expected to be healthy enough for long waits in two lines. Its Caremark, have to go here.

Tried 3 times to transfer a prescription...online, then twice by phone. The last guy I talked to still didnt have any record of my information or request and was not polite.

Very poor service called 20 mins ahead to make sure prescription was ready and I guess another confusion this is not the first or the second time.
