Very unprofessional as well as unpleasant people in the customer service arena.I stopped by the store today to return an item in which i had purchased in Michigan. Mind you that I had the original receipt as well as the debit card in which I used to purchase this item The young lady behind the counter was not sure how to ring an out of state purchase up for a refund. Therefore she spoke with her arrogant manager, whom was a White male, that seemed to be on drugs and irritated. I could tell from the giddy-up that he did not have much experience dealing with Black males, based on his demeanor. The first thing that this clown done was, took a box cuter out and opened a new box to ensure that I was not lying to him. My question is would you have done this to a white male probably not. Secondly he tells me that the return will be going on a gift card. Mind you I have the debit card on person. The right thing to have done would have been to return the credit to my debit-card. Instead of being condescending and ignorant I said thats fine put it on a gift card. Personally had no use for this product and its my righty to return an item that I do not want or need.I had no problem with it being placed on a gift card. The next thing that this racially profiling gentleman done really blew me away he asked for an id to put the credit on a gift card really you really must think that all blacks are stupid. I give you my ID then you have access to information so that you can start a file on my returning items to your store. You are the fool no me. Lastly please be careful how you treat people "God is always watch." People like you are the reason in which we have so much tension in the World. Continue to act this way. Just remember that middle to upper class blacks are the reason in which this store exist. I strongly;y suggest that this gentleman gets a job in the back unloading trucks because he does not belong in customer service.

New facility. Large/Wide isles. Great selection collectively, and not too bad in their beer dept either. (6) 12 items or less self-checkouts at BOTH ends of the store, with -6 unlimited item self-checkouts at the east (grocery) end of the store. The self-checkouts are what initially made me try out Meijer since Jewel (now owned by dominicks) has removed self-checkouts AND they never have enough cashiers. I live less than 1 block from Jewel, but now I drive a couple miles to Meijer. Products seem competitively priced. Biggest shock to me is their pricing for Mobil 1 engine oil which is on par with Wal-Mart/Sams club at $26-$30 for a 5qt jug. I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart so this is a definite plus for me! MPerks rewards gives you a few dollars off your next purchase(s) after spending "X" amount of dollars, and there doesnt seem to be a limit for how little you must purchase to redeem. For example today I redeemed $3 off my purchase and I only had $10 worth of merchandise. I havent used these services, but there is a Starbucks, Fresh Pretzel vendor, and a barber/salon in the building.

The store is clean. Prices are higher than they should be. Some things I can get at Aldis for half the price. But my issue is with some of the staff. Ive had a few run-ins with rude, unhelpful staff members. But the latest takes the cake. She was so bad I had to write this review. I parked in a spot next to a cart corral in the parking lot. When I came out an employee, gathering carts, had a long line of carts less than a foot from the side of my car. She even had them wrapped slightly in front of my car. I couldnt get into my car. Even, if I could Id have to do tight maneuvering to pull out. As I stood there in disbelief she stood there and didnt bother moving the carts. When my boyfriend moved them, she gave him a nasty look, muttered something and shoved them back as I pulled out. I almost hit an oncoming car because I thought she was going to push the carts into my car. I reported her but I dont think theyll do anything. Shes known to be problematic. Her own supervisor said she wont listen to her. And yet shes still has her job.

This is a physically attractive store inside and out, however, the staff is horrendous. You get the impression that all of the employees were fugitives from a Walmart store. I encountered a rude service desk clerk named Shundricka ( I could not make that up). I guess she thought I was out of line by asking the cashier to load my bags into my cart. I dont work there and the prices are 20-30% higher than self service stores like Aldi or Food 4 Less, so it baffles me when these clerks with low skill sets think it is beneath them to load bags into a customers cart when asked. Customers should not have to ask. I will follow up with a formal letter of complaint.

Went there at 930 at night and tried to check out. Every self scan was broken and only one cashier checking people out. I left the self scan and decided to look around to see if toneeded anything else and got back to the registers about 15 minutes later and the same people trying to check out were in the same spot they were in when I left. The one "employee" at the self scan didnt really seem to care that the line was backing up. I left my entire cart and left. Open about a month and its already this bad? Not worth the trip to floosmoor for this.

Their fruits are never the freshest, they seem to be 2 steps from going bad. It is like whatever multiple Meijer stores this warehouse services, they make sure that the fruit that is showing signs of going bad are sent to this location. They also refuse to bake chicken wings per store management staff and only fry them albeit baking is a healthier option. And it would be nice if their greeters greet persons enter the store as opposed to just looking at them !

I love this new locations. Its clean, spacious, and the selection is great! And they are always ahead of the game when it comes to healthy snacks and alternatives. Youll find a large selection of gluten free foods, high protein foods (think pasta, cookies, pancake mix, halo top ice cream), low carb alternatives (cauliflower rice, etc). I used to have to travel to several stores to get these kinds of foods, now there all in one really convenient location!

I purchase some Sara Lee deli meat at the counter and there was a sign in front of it it said $6.99 per pound however, it was the wrong sign in front of the meat. I felt that I should have gotten that price for my meat which wasnt given to me. The Associates at work in the store should double-check how the signage is on products. Sometimes it can be confusing for consumers when they looking in at a case how the pricing is arranged on these products.

I really want to like this location. Theres a large selection, the lighting isnt garish, the staff is pleasant ... heres the problem: there are at least 20 self scan lanes & never more than 2 staffed checkout lanes open. If Im not getting a discount, I wont be scanning and bagging my own groceries. Waiting in line has afforded me plenty of time to write this review. Considering that, this location will probably end up being a last resort.
