Deluxe Tattoo!!! All I have to say is Ben Wahh is the best when it comes to the art of Tattoo. Everything was hand drawn right on my skin and the drilling came right after. No flash BS here!! True Artists... I was amazed at the quality of work that was implemented and that the pain was minimal for the size I was getting. Im currently on my 6th day of recovery and am already peeling, will go back for the 2nd session within another week. All I can say is that the artists here are truly skilled in the work that they do and taking the time to spend with the customer is a added bonus by making sure you receive the finest piece of art work that youll carry for the rest of your life. Dont just show up and ask for a tat on the spot..why would you? Whats the rush? This is quality work with professional artists that use only the best of products on the market thatll make your tat last forever. Take your time in researching other shops but be rest assured that Deluxe Tattoo is the only place to get your work done in Chicago. (No I dont work here and or hang out with anyone that does..Im just a typical happy customer!!) Ill upload the photo once its complete.

I got my first tattoo her on May 27. Stephanie White was my tattoo artist. I booked directly with her by email. The shop was clean the staff were kind and helpful. I was nervous for my first tattoo, but Stephanie was great. I had one line of hand writing done on my arm. The fine detail in the letters turned out great. I was impressed. Stephanie was great at communicating before after and during the tattoo and had a wonderful demeanor. I would recommend Deluxe Tattoo to anyone and especially Stephanie. A $50 non-refundable deposit was required when I booked my appointment. FYI parking could be rough if there is a Cubs game especially a night game when neighborhood requires permits. There are metered spots on the street as well.

This shop is the best Ive been in. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Dustin. I had a rather complex cover up. I went over the cover up with Dustin on the phone and exchanged pictures via email since I live about 40 mi outside of Chicago. Both the phone staff and the artists are the best in the business. The shop is SUPER clean and has a great chill vibe perfect for both those getting tattood and those waiting. I cant say enough good thinks about how talented Dustin is. He has a passion for tattoos and you can tell that the second you sit down. He was so friendly, down to earth, and easy going I cant imagine getting tattood by anyone else in the future. Outstanding job Dustin, you and this shop are among the best.

Dont curse yourself and your body by risking going into this shop. The owner is a condescending "artiste" who will talk down to people on appointment and people off the street. The rest of the hoodlums in the shop take their cue from Ben: rude, arrogant, dismissive and ultimately not professional. Theyll take your money and put you on the back burner until you hassle them. Then they really turn on the charm by talking about you like you arent there, sudden reschedules, and of course the slow-down in work rate. There are dozens of shops and hundreds of artists better than these crooks. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Youve been warned. Caveat Emptor.

I got (the beginning of) a half-sleeve of a jellyfish here with Mike, and I am so in love with his artistry and skill. I get nonstop compliments already and the remainder of the half-sleeve is yet to be completed! He made sure that my work-in-progress version looked great in the meantime. I gave Mike an idea of what I was after stylistically and with the subject matter, then gave him free rein to design my piece. Im glad that I did, as he absolutely nailed it. All of the tiny detail work (that shading, those dots!) did take some time, but worth it for the final piece. Id absolutely come back for future work.

People who are sincere about quality work and know what they are looking for are the kind of customers that would love Deluxe. tattoos are something that should be meaningful and should be thought out--not just "lets walk into a tattoo place and expect the artists to read my mind." I think everyone here is fantastic, their work is exceptional, and if you didnt have a good experience here then you were most likely a walk in that knows nothing about tattoos. Ben Wahhh has done 6 of my tattoos and working on 7. ILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

Found out that I am pregnant the day I was scheduled to get my tattoo so I had to call and cancel. When I discovered that I was charged $50 ( which I was NOT informed was non-refundable ) i called and was told that my unexpected pregnancy "has nothing to do with us it has to do with you." So rude. These people are apparently in the business of making money off of pregnant women who are unable to get tattoos. I suppose they would have wanted me to put my unborn child at risk and go ahead with the tattoo. Will NEVER get a tatto here.

The artists at Deluxe are truly that - artists. Many of them are booked out months in advance, and on a busy day, youll have to wait for a consultation. Thats not a bad thing - its a sure sign that these guys are in high demand, and only put out quality work. Dont go here if youre wanting to walk in, point at a wall, and walk out. If you want a beautiful piece done, do your research, check out the artists as individuals, and make appointments! The shop has a great vibe because the tattooists care about the work theyre putting out.

Been there years ago and got two tattoos from Ben Wahhh. He is a top notch artist, professional and easy to work with. Fast forward to now, and I needed a cover up for a tattoo I got from a crappy shop. This time around Deluxe has expanded and added a lot more talent. I got hooked up with Zach Stuka to do this cover up and he is just as pro as Ben is. I am 10000% happy with the work done there and I dont think it is possible to get anything less than awesome from the artists at Deluxe. Great tattoo work for great prices.

I stopped into the shop to learn more a finger tattoo and their team did a great job educating me on to topic. I realized what I wanted didnt align with reality, so I decided against getting the tattoo. They took time to answer all the questions I had. I cant thank them enough for just giving me the facts and allowing me to make an informed decision and not trying to pressure me one way or another. I didnt get a tattoo, but they sure as hell earned my respect for how they handled the situation.

I had never had a tattoo before going to Deluxe. Once I walked in, I did not feel at all uncomfortable or pressured. The artist (Chris) was helpful and friendly. He drew and perfected what I wanted and then worked with me to place it in the correct spot. Even after I ended up deciding not to get the tattoo on that specific day, Chris remained nothing but helpful and kind. When I do decide to get the tattoo, I will absolutely go back to Deluxe and I would suggest it to anyone.
