I can’t say that I was impressed with my experience at Bella Boudoir. Let me stress that I thought the staff were incredibly nice(!), but in the end I found that my experience lacked in other areas. I will also say that I ended up with 10 really nice pictures but that was out of over 200 frames taken. First and foremost, I think that in general Bella Boudoir overcharged – for everything. To begin with I think that the selection of “fine lingerie” that is mentioned on their website was misguided. Although I found something I liked, I think it was over-priced for the quality even after the $25 shopping credit given to all customers. Many of the brands that they had I had never heard of. The makeup artist did a great job on my eyes, but to apply a pair of Wet n’ Wide eyelashes (something you can easily buy at Walgreens for very little money), was $10. Finally, I was SHOCKED at the price for 10 digital prints ($250!). Granted their pricing was on their website (as staff pointed out to me) – but I didn’t take a look at that page ahead of time. The second thing that really bothered me was the studio room itself. The most irksome thing for me was that I didn’t feel like I was in a private space for the shoot. There are sheer curtains in the window for privacy (the studio space is in a store front), but I felt like anyone that stopped and took a real second to look into the window would have easily been able to see me in my lingerie. The door to the studio also had window panes in it that were only covered by a sheer curtain – so anyone walking through the hallway could have looked in the room. The second thing about the room was the actual furniture – which I thought were not well maintained and a bit dirty - not to mention the duvet on the bed that had previous clients’ makeup on it. My final reaction to my experience was that I didn’t enjoy many of the poses the photographer put me in. I’m a plus size woman and I think many of the poses accentuated parts that I would not have liked to. I did have a short “ice braking” consultation with the photographer before we started shooting, but there was no conversation about parts of my body I wanted to focus on or parts that I didn’t want to focus on. I had to bring this up myself and was told that “I [the photographer] got you, don’t worry.” One of my gut reactions to seeing some photos after the shoot was “OMG, they look like mug shots!” I want to say again that the staff were incredibly nice, but overall I do not think I’ll be returning to Bella Boudoir again.

I hired Bella Boudoir for my boudoir shoot as a fun surprise for my husband. I was so nervous going in and had my mind set on what I would look like in the pictures. I even had my mind set on what products I was buying. I get there, still nervous, but the staff made me feel so comfortable. From the moment I got my hair/makeup to consulting with the photographer, I was greeted by warm and friendly staff. They are a blast to work with and I love the entire set up of the studio. I was so excited to check out my photos following the shoot and needless to say, they were nothing like I had imagined they would be....they were that much better!!! I fell in love with them all and ended up with a much larger product package then I had planned on. I left that day feeling amazing, overwhelmingly confident and proud of conquering something I had always wanted to do. If you want a sexy surprise for your significant other or just a fun empowering day for yourself...go nowhere else but Bella Boudoir. This place rocks and they really make you feel like youre family. I already want to do another shoot! Youre not getting the best with Bella Boudoir, youre getting perfection!
