I am a hospice nurse and went in to buy survival blankets for seniors at a local nursing home and assisted living that had lost power and needed a way to warm folks up. The staff was friendly and super helpful, they even gave us a discount to help out. We purchased every blanket they had, all 138 of them from the inventory. When we got to the nursing home the power had just been restored (much earlier than expected) and we no longer needed the blankets. The employees were great about letting us return the blankets, so we kept a few to hand out to the homeless <3 Highly recommend this store!!!

I think that this store is owned by the same guy that owns the one on S. Broadway, it has the same motiff. All the good "Army Surplus" items are up above hand reach with "NOT FOR SALE" signs. Everything else that you can get your mits on is either, not army surplus, or is cheap foreign fake items with maybe %5 actual worthless surplus items. Not worth the time or effort. People are nice though, just sucks that they work in a cheap camping store. Not looking good that Denver has a surplus store worth its salt :( To bad that I wasted a 4.5 hour trip to visit here.

If youre an active outdoorsman this place has it all - 1 store all clothing and the other all gear. You can find pretty much everythng youll need for the venture and their prices are fair if not better. Im never disappointed - sales staff always helpful. But Im not too sure what china-made trinkets the previous critique was referring to....

Just what I had hoped for! We came here after a very unpleasant experience at the Arvada Surplus Store. What a difference. Friendly and knowledgable customer service. We had such fun discovering all the exciting items inside the store. Camping gear, footwear, workwear and playwear all at great prices. We will be back often.

Before buying a product as a gift, I was told that I could return it if it wasnt just right. When I went to return it or even exchange it, I was refused even after I explained that I was told by the staff that I could and that I would not have bought it in the first place If I knew I could not return it. Classic scam

I would not recommend this shop to anyone! I bought an air mattress that I was told held air amazingly, got home set it up and it was flat within 2 hours, they will not give me store credit or exchange it for another mattress, I bought the product less than 24 hours ago, this is awful, VERY POOR COSTUMER SERVICE!!

The bait and switch. I called to ask about Army Field jackets. She told me they had them in my size and only $38. When I arrived they are not Army jackets at all, they are fake army jackets that cost $99. When I asked about the price I was told on the phone, they took off $5 for the trouble. Still not cool.

First off, it took me probably 5 years to realize there are two different buildings. This is a nice store and covers most of what you would need for adventuring or outdoor activities. As others have mentioned theres very little actual surplus, mostly new items at average prices. Still, good one stop shopping.

Just terrible customer service and return policy. Customers are treated like criminals. If you wear it you cant return it. Buy online and get a better return policy. Its like the owner doesnt have to worry about repeat customers because this is the only game in town. Feels and smells like a flea market.

Go to the Army surplus in Arvada! I was sold a used sleeping bag as new for 179.99. When I went to return it, the manager was completely rude and the casher at the gun counter stared me down till I left. The worst customer service Ive experienced in ten years!

One of the best selections of Carhartt around. Pretty good secretion of work boots as well. Always something for the kids to use for airsoft. Tons of camping and fishing stuff too. Plus 10% off work items for Union members.

This place has little to no surplus... its all new gear at standard high brick & mortar prices. The surplus they do have is stupid over priced. Can order the same stuff off budk or chkadels for half the price.
