Post renovation its now one of the nicest, most luxurious super markets I have ever been to. Where else can you get fresh, same-day sushi at 11pm? Their custom made sandwiches are affordable, quick and delicious. Staff is always friendly. Parking is bountiful, especially if you park upstairs and take the stairs/elevator down. Im always sure to stock up on the five dollar Friday deals in the pre-cooked section. Are people on here really complaining about their restrooms closing on NYE/day during the Rose Parade? Last time I checked its not their responsibility to provide bathroom services to millions of rowdy tourists; the city provides porta potties for the parade. Finally, I must commend this Vons for their vigilance in keeping the riff raff out of their parking lot. Ive never once been accosted by a beggar here (Im looking at you, Ralphs in Hastings Ranch), and I think its probably credited to their superior management. Harassment by homeless people is a serious problem in Pasadena, as anyone will tell you, but I have observed this Vons to be safe from those troublesome characters, and would have no reservations in sending my mother to shop there.

@10:15pm Fri nt long lines to checkout. only 2 cashiers. Vons employee ask you if you want faster checkout then go to self checkout. I say no thank you. I tell the worker that the self checkout machine doesnt acknowledge your Vons club # & wont accept coupons either !(this routinely use to happen to me when I shopped@Fresh & Easy, home depot & Sears too ! I also resent the store charging me .10cents for crappy/flimsy paper bag or .75cents for a plastic bag ! how can you put pet poo in a paper bag ! I ALSO HATE THAT THIS VONS & Albertsons in Montebello have the penny pinching cheap" tightwad Starbucks that charges you .25cents if you want a cup of ice water. Starbucks why be so cheap...especially since you promised to employ 10,000muslims@Starbucks everywhere ! Big fat pork chance ! No Muslim will work @Starbucks because Starbucks serves yummy bacon &sausage sandwiches. no Muslim will want to make my beautiful yummy scrumptious bacon &sausage sandwiches because they(Muslim worker would have touch my yummy bacon &sausage ! check & checkmate ! peace out to my bacon &sausage worshippers !

All told, were quite satisfied with our visit to Vons this evening. We were able to achieve our objectives which included shopping for groceries purchasing groceries and returning home with those groceries intact. Boom we did it baby. Never in a million years did we think such achievement could be possible and yet Life Goes On. I dont know why the dictation software has capitalized Life Goes On perhaps theres some kind of a copyright issue involving that Beatles song, baby. See my suspicion seems to be correct given that Google Voice Control as capitalized Beatles as well as Life Goes On, ob la di ob la da. I would have given this visit to Vons 5 out of 5 stars but come on four out of five says youve met my expectations in a satisfactory manner but five out of five says youve shattered my complete understanding of the firmament of the universe and push me further into the mystery of life itself. Who could ask for anything more? ...if that were the case.

Opens 6am thats luxury, leather couches+wifi, 59cent bread+carl budding 59cent+ 50cent donut=lunch/dinner under $2 with 41cents to spare(i buy 1oz anything in the deli I or a banana. They try and hide the 99cent apples, Sushie is never 2 days old+ self serve soy sauce, mayonnaise plastic utensils. Nearlly the best market in LA. They got Truffles,. Bathrooms do close new years due to insurance/crime/theft/dealwith it, if your just here for the rose bowl or parade just use the port-o-let provided and remember. All of Colorado Blvd is shut down. Your lucky you can shop at all. Dennys is open 3 blocks east pay and use theres, then go back to Texas or whenever you came from...and compare this spot to your market...Pasadena Hands Down 5 stars*****

This Vons is clean ,has everything you might need and really great quality . The sushi is really good. Hot food . Salad bar, fresh baked breads ...really top of the line produce. Want a good wine and beer selection they have it. The cheese counter is A plus . Prices....well food is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Always fresh flowers for your sweetheart. U S bank is on the premises too. The only reason I felt I couldnt give it 5 stars is youll be hard pressed to find anyone on the floor to assist you when you need a little help. Having said that,check it out.

I went to vons today ... my mother requested she wants the braggs apple cider vinegar... it was 9.99 @vons... @ Ralphs it would be an estimate of 6 dollars ...@health food city in the same plaza has it at the same estimate given for Ralphs and even while foods sells its cider at about 6 dollars... I asked the cashier if they do a price match ?... she answered no ... didnt even try to ask management... really am more upset of the price listed ... vons is just a rip off.

This Vons is probably the best nationwide chain grocery store in Pasadena proper (barring Trader Joes, which was founded in Pas and continues to beat the pants off stores like Safeway and Kroger). The store has a very nice set up with a large produce section just before the registers. Like every Vons, Pavilions and Safeway it has the bakery, deli, flowers, Starbucks etc, etc. Reasonable parking. Be sure to bring bags or be ready to pay the per bag fee for Pasadena.

Love this store, staff ate super friendly, helpful & take care if me. Being disabled & using a walker, they keep it behind the customer service desk. Been going there since the rebuild. Best Vons in Pasadena. Cant believe people complain about bathrooms are closed on new years eve. Shocker, its a store not a bathroom. Be grateful they have port a potties on site. Enjoy the parade, game and great weather. Hook em horns.

I went in tonight to pick up a few items for our neighborhood Easter party. I went to the check out lane and was actually TOLD my the checker "I hope you have 15 items or less". I had close to 15 but a few over. I didnt know it was an "express" lane because the express sign was covered up by a balloon. Nice attitude lil miss checker! So much for customer service...now replaced with checker-tood!

FRAUD Absolute garbage- they sell Chinese Farm Raised Salmon, yet they have the audacity to label the package “ Wild caught Alaskan Salmon”. The Salmon taste like the stuff you flush down the toilet, I can only image what they feed these farm raised Chinese Salmon…in CHINALAND. The store looks somewhat clean, however 80% of the items simply put are low grade garbage. BE Forewarned FRAUD

Expensive shelf prices and inefficient big store organization assures you will have to walk a ways even for small numbers of items. Must use shopper card AND complicated selection of sale prices and coupons to not end up paying Whole Paycheck prices. Selections of some staples limited for such a large store. Parking is free but a crowded, shared lot.

They closed their bathrooms during the Rose Parade which is one of their busiest times and placed 2 portapotties for "customer" use outside the store. Many of their registers were open raking in the cash from all the parade goers but dont ask to use the clean restrooms. Unacceptable! Ill never return to this store horrible customer service.
