I came in to buy flowers, initially I was told it would cost $24.95 for the flowers and to be prepared, a little pricey but I like to support local businesses so I was okay with it. Once the owner, an older man, sees me, a white male, he tells me the price is no longer $24.95, but that it is now $32.95. He does not explain his reasoning behind the price change, and is brisk and unexplanatory. At the register, I remind the lady that first helped me that originally she told me the price was $24.95, she just shrugs her shoulders and I am still charged the higher price. I have bought flowers here before several times, although decent flowers the service is always lackluster but never before have I had the price switched on me before like that. As for the shop itself the store is unkempt, dirty, and disorganized. Their wares are visibly damaged in the refrigerator section and single drinks stand alone from the packages. I would not advise purchasing their perishable goods. If you are thinking about going to this store I would strongly advice against it. Ambiguous pricing, poor customer service, and arguably shoddy business practices have left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be returning to this establishment and will take my business to more reputable stores from now on.

A combo market and florist - it has the expected upsides and downsides of a small store (lower turnover means fewer awesome fresh things, etc. Small, dark and crowded -- an old school local market). Still, if you live in Barron Park, its an easy walk or bike to get here, and you can grab that missing potato for your soup. Its not the place to go for high-end groceries. But you probably figured that out already from looking at the storefront. Can of beans? Yes. Particularly if you dont mind that its discounted a bit because of some dents. Bleu dauvergne? No. The owner is local, friendly, and helpful, and has been here longer than most of the tech scene. Pro tip: He sells *great* pumpkins. We bought pumpkins there for halloween that lasted until spring. (!) (You could well ask why we still had them in spring -- well, because they lasted so long!).

The flowers were all dead or dying and there were scraps all over the floor.
