The place has been an oasis for me in the middle of long bike rides on hot days. It is located in such a way that it pops up just when Im starting to lag and there is no other place around. So I can grab a drink, some fresh fruit, cool down, and relieve my bladder before continuing on refreshed. Thats the good hand....on the OTHER hand, I have NEVER seen anyone working there smile. And eye contact? fugitaboudit. It is like visiting a fruit stand from Deliverance. Children of the Corn. They may know how to grow pumpkins, but they are bushe-leauge, rubes in the customer service game.

At first glace Spina Farms is a cute happy seeming place. I loved all the props for photo ops as well as the many activities they offer. What I did not find pleasing was the manner in which they give customer service. Not once did I encounter a single female staff member at this place that treated us with decency. I didnt appreciate being passed up in line twice when I went to pay. The one person that was extremely polite and very sweet was an older gentlemen letting people on the train. The prices on the pumpkins were a steal. I purchased two . One large and one small paid $9.

Went this morning at 11 am (Sat., Oct. 29 2016) and everything was closed except a small area with pumpkins and hay bales. I read the website in advance, and the events/booths should have been open based on the posted information. I drove a 2 year old 25 min from home to see a few pumpkins on the gravel. They have every right to be closed as they choose, but I wish the website had correct information, or encouraged readers to call ahead.

Spina Farms offers a nice selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables when in-season...though some of the produce does come from the central valley and out of state. Their corn is grown in the adjacent field. In October they offer a great pumpkin path with ponies, hayrack ride, and other amenities. Visiting them is becoming an annual tradition for our family!

Spina Farms is the best in the bay area. Ive been to half moon bay and Hollister far farms and they dont compare. The quality of pumpkins is great and they have huge "wolfes". The big handle. I guess thats what they call then. The kids have several rides and a maze. Its smaller than the others, but so much better. Theres also more parking this year

Tried to visit here the day after Halloween (Nov. 1). Their website, Google Maps listing and Yelp listing all reported that they close at 6 PM. After driving an hour in traffic for some family fun at this farm and arriving at 1 PM, we were turned away saying they had already closed for the day and to come back the following day.

Easy to get to, free parking, where closed shoes as it is dusty. Very cute for the little ones with pony rides, small petting zoo, hay ride, kiddie train ride, each about 2$, decent snack bar, gift shop, gourmet food shop, great pumpkin selection all sizes and colors, and reasonable pumpkin prices.

Fun place to take the kids for pumpkins, get there early since parking is unruly and people park everywhere. but its a fun time for all, skip the small train ride and instead go for the tractor rides, much longer and much more fun.

It was OK for a half hour stop. The hayride ($2) was enjoyable: driving through alleys of sunflowers. The kids had fun running on top of the hay maze, but thats about it. They liked Giordana Farms a bit better.

Its not a big place, but it does carry a very diverse set of produce, along with eggs, honey, refrigerated drinks, and some mighty tasty chips and salsa. They also accept credit cards (above $5, pretty common)

Real expensive pumpkins. Low key atmosphere gave it the 3 star. Try somewhere else until they make the pumpkin prices reasonable ($38 for 2 medium large pumpkins)---OUCH. Will not go there again.

Spina farms pumpkin patch has it all: rides, mazes, gift shop, picnic areas, and of course pumpkins. Theres plenty of parking, no entry fee, and the rides arent over priced like some patches do.

Nice place for pumpkin patch with kids zoo, huge tractor, train inside corn field and tons of various pumpkins. Our children enjoyed it. Even thought there could be more kids activities.

Lots of pumpkins, of all sizes and varieties, nice rides are decently prized, and staff is nice. When we visited it as super hot, so dress appropriately, and bring lots of water.

We go here every year for pumpkins. Kids love it, rides are not over priced and the staff is really nice.

Low key pumpkin patch. Not as crazy as some further south, but a little quieter and cheaper rides.

Lots of rides and attractions for kids. Not a lot of shade though, so a bit brutal on a hot day.
