I live just a couple of blocks/ minutes away from this place and I got to say, I am glad this business is doing well. I dropped in and out from time to time to check on games, accessories but nothing beats it like today, Christmas Day! I have been working all week that I didnt had time to get my new ps3 controller. I kid you not I came back home from a get together 30 minutes before 4pm and saw that they posted on their Facebook Page they were OPEN... ON CHRISTMAS DAY! Called them while running to see if they had some controllers as well other products and they said they were willing to hang around. Thanks to them they gave me a chance to catch my breath and walk it there for the last minute. So overall, I like my experience there every time I come by. Great environment, really stands out from the rest of the independent gaming stores. I like how unlike major gaming companies, they still sell games and consoles N64 PSX GAMECUBE SNES NES ATARI etc. Kudos to the workers there, I know this week has been busy for the last minute gifts (work at best buy) packed but everyone was patient happy and overall working at a great pace not overdoing themselves.

Best store ever! They have everything old and new and super friendly people i know them well considering i live around the corner and they have better prices than gamestop. And the they handle pre orders are way better than gamestop when you pre order a game with this store they actually hold it for like a month or 2 i remember i pre ordered a game and they held it for like 2 months with gamestop if you dont pick up your game you lose your money and the game you wanted and your money goes to waste but at world 8 they even tell you that if you dont pay off your pre order they still keep it for you for a while even if it isnt fully paid off i would say the only bad thing about the store is the return policy no cash back only store credit

The last of a dying breed- standalone video game shops not named Gamestop. World 8 is a popular spot for anyone who is looking for old school gaming. If you have a system thats a couple generations old and you are looking for that game to bring back your nostalgia, this place is it. They also host a wide range of video game tournaments for any competitive gamers out there. My one drawback is I have gone a time or two where the games were disorganized and it made me harder to know what the place had or didnt have.

this store deserves its 1 star rating. i have came here on multiple occasions and am always treated less due to the color of my skin. i am constantly followed around the store, eyed up and down, and given angry stares. i do not feel safe in this establishment. its a shame because i have friends who love this store, but i for one, will have to share this knowledge to prevent it from happening to others.

Pretty much the place to go for ANY Video Game Repair !!! The cost maybe a tad more then some random on CL, but World 8 Backs it with a warranty =) Very knowledgeable, friendly, and fast, YET STILL PERSONABLE !!! Overall this store surprised me in a really amazing way! I recently left my Xbox 360 for repair, and thanks to their hard work I was able to play my favorite games again! If you ever have a system that needs fixing I would recommend this video game store! Thank you guys! Keep up the good work!

not a good local store. staff was rude and they dont honor any warranty or offer any help with anything. they charge a $10 fee just to hook up a system to test one of their cables too. what a waste of money and time. avoid this store and just head to ebay.

I went there today, and I told them if they could fix my 3DS. They said they can be able to, Im praying for them to fix it. The store was filled with lots of amazing games and amiibos, Almost like an upgrade version of Cali Games.

Has good games but the classic games are expensive. I came to buy a game here and they treated me as if I was going to steal something. I didnt like how they treated me at this store when purchasing a video game.

place to find uncommon games nowadays and the staff are pretty cool. May be a little on the pricy side but still a great place to shop otherwise especially when trying to shop somewhere besides GameStop.
