I recently bought a house so Ive been going back and forth several times a week (you might know exactly what Im talking about). Majority of the time the associates are outstanding; for instance. I bought a stove gas hose that had a fitting never packaged with it. Went in next day and with no problem what so ever a dept. manager gave me one out of another package. Im usually in a hurry so friendly associates make finding things quick. The only reason I didnt give a 4 or 5 stars is there are to many associates who waste your time. I bought cabinets and had 3 pallets to pickup. My last pallet I asked the front desk to have it ready for Id be back in around an hour. When I saw it was going to rain I called ahead and told them Im on my way. Close to a half hour later I showed up to find the associates at the front desk never had the help get my cabinets and they were also misplaced making it way to late to pick them up. This set me back almost four days. I was all so in a hurry and needed to know where specific lumber was located that I had never used before. In a hurry I asked several associates near the lumber section where the items were located. In their haste to get back to their conversation they laughed, pointed to the lumber aisle and said "its right there." Not so humorously I spent the next 5 minutes (I didnt have) locating the item. Other times my time has been wasted being brought to the wrong items by associates, like looking for a new chainsaw and being brought to the jigsaws. Time is too short to be wasted like this and it seems when Im in the biggest hurry I run into an associate who doesnt understand what there getting paid to do; nor that they really help people more then locating merchandise but by saving them time.

"I need a mop up in aisle 8". Thats all I heard over the store intercom after a woman had given birth on the Home Depot floor. A manager named Kathryn cradled the new mothers head in her lap, held her hand and calmly soothed her as the baby arrived. The ambulance came and took the infant and mom away. Within minutes the floor had been mopped clean, with no signs the miracle of birth had just taken place. Im giving them only 4 stars because they were out of 220 grit sandpaper.

I have been here a lot. I know my way around but the customer service isnt that great, Ive gotten rude treatment more than a few times. I had a great experience in the door dept before but its very hit and miss. I dont usually bother to ask for help on anything there. I just figure it out for myself. I seem to do better here than Lowes but the customer service and overall friendliness at Lowes is hands down a lot better than Home Depot.

Waited an hour for help with mower. Cashier suggested credit card, but said she didnt know apr ranges. Handed me pamphlet right after with apr very clear. Today back for wood and cut and waiting ... Waiting. ... Waiting. Nice once help arrives though customer service phone person was cryptic.

I am a purple heart recipient from Vietnam war. I showed them my VA identification with purple heart. Lady said it had to say service connected on card to get discount. Ive never had problems before. I told her you dont get a purple heart unless service connected. They didnt honor it.

Its a chain/ corporate store with many nice employees that arent very knowledgeable. Its somewhat hit or miss on whether or not an employee has any knowledge of the trade area in which they work. Again, VERY friendly employees, they just dont know the trades

Home Depot is great but a HUGE part of that is due to their amazing employee, Olu. He always goes over and beyond every time I need his help and is very knowledgeable about everything in the store! Home Depot is so lucky to have him, he really is the best!

We love shopping in Home Depot. It is a good place to buy materials for some workshop. I also like that they have a little car attached carts for toddlers for free. My boy loved it.

They have a return policy up to a year for all there plants. Just hold onto the receipt and pot the plant is in. Wonderful news
