The Grooming department is very rude and disrespectful. We will never use PetSmart Gulfport again due to the this department. We use to love to take our 3 dogs to PetSmart. After experiencing a personal attack from a grooming employee we are no longer able to use this company. We are very concerned that your employees would be vindictive towards our animals. She has also asked all of her fellow employees to write harassing comments and personal attacks who are not involved in any way in the situation. We are unfortunately going to have to inform all of our friends of the caliber of people that you employ. It is unfortunate that a company of your size hires such volatile employees and should consider a better screening process. This employee is detrimental to the future of your business. I hope that you take into consideration her actions towards your valuable customers. We would love for this to be resolved so that we can use PetSmart again with a peace of mind! They have also placed personal attacks on other review sites that we will have to answer with this same reply. We have tried desperately to work with her to resolve this matter peacefully but she will not work with us and continues to have coworkers and family harass us personally! We will continue to keep you posted if there are any changes or improvements with this situation.

I took my pup and as soon as I walked in I wanted to leave, and I should have. There was dog hair of many different colors at every grooming station not being swept although enough workers were standing around to sweep it. I looked down and realized my 3 year old was standing in urine. To my luck (or so I thought) the woman who checked us in asked me to verify my information and I realized the phone number was wrong. After waiting for over 2 hours for a call back (on a bath & nail trim) I called and was told that they had tried to call earlier but there was no answer, so apparently after I changed my info, they did nothing with it. When I returned to get my dog, it was pandamonium again, people standing around everywhere with little work being done. One of the louder employees talked about how she had been walking a dog and he fell and almost hurt himself. Made me feel awful for the animal because she acted like it was a joke. When I got my dog home he drank all the water in his dish immediately, so it was obvious he wasnt given any there. Will not be back, so disappointed!

WOW! Reading all the bad reviews and I gotta say that Ive never had any of those experiences. Ive always found the grooming staff to be respectful and courteous. The lady who groomed my Cairn always did a great job and she was always so pleasant. She left when she had a baby and I frankly dont know if she ever returned. The one time I tried to make an appt. with her I was told that she would not be coming back so I chose to find another groomer for both of my doggies thats closer to my home. As far as the floor assistants, Ive always had decent experiences with them too. Usually not hard to find someone to help you if you cant find something and sometimes, youll have 3 or 4 people ask you if you need help with anything.

I made a 6pm appointment for my yorkie at the PetSmart Grooming Salon. Normally, my yorkie doesnt mind anybody combing, washing, brushing, or cutting his hair. He is very sweet, doesnt bark & has never attacked anyone. I dropped him off at 5:45, got a call around 8:15 telling me my dog bit the groomer when she was giving him a bath. I went to PetSmart and picked him up, my yorkie was still damp. She claims he didnt like the dryer and she didnt want to stress him out. Im a new customer, extremely disappointed and I will never go back. I guess she didnt want to be bothered with taking care of all the grooming services I requested, since they closed at 9pm.

I recently visited the local Petsmart store, I was to say the least very disappointed! I was looking for tropical fish. Not only did I have to dodge mop buckets and the such, the tanks had many dead or dying fish. All the tanks were under stocked, most were dirty. Being an aquarium enthusiast since I was young, its very disheartening to think that younger enthusiasts will think of these conditions as the norm. With the independent pet store becoming a thing of the past, along with the proper knowledge and customer service, I guess its time to check out the competition or try online purchasing.

The absolutely rudest employees i have ever come across. Took my mom into the store and unfortunately watched her get mistreated and talked down to by heather the girl working with the animals even though my mom was just trying to help her. Could not believe that she would talk to her the way she was and I made a point of saying that to her at which point she proceeded to tell me she only treated the annoying customers like that. Really?? I will never be back.

I took my 2 cairn terriers to groomer Alexa last week for the first time. She was very attentive to my girl cairn & her ear problem. I explained to her what needed to be done to protect her ear & also the shampoo she needed to use on her for the skin allergy. I was very pleased with how she groomed my dogs & made another appt. with her in 5 weeks. I had no problem with anyone being rude in the store or grooming salon.

Do not go here!!! i have never been to a pet smart so disgusting in my life!!! As soon as you walk in it smells like a kennel, even though it is a pet store no other locations smells this way! Then as im walking through the dog food isle a HUGE RAT ran by!!!!!! By far the worst pet smart!!! When i told the sales associate about the rat she just said ok. Like it was no big deal!!! Rude and gross!!

We had a very odd problem, taking two rats on a 12 hour road trip, and had no idea what to transport them in. We were thinking we were gonna have to buy a smaller cage but instead the staff suggested a small dog cage. It was brilliant. They actually made sure to recommend one with a solid bottom so bedding doesnt fall out. Very pleased with the customer service regarding the store floor.

The rudest staff ever. The grooming staff on several occasions personally attacked myself and the character of my dog. After finding a new groomer, they assured us that none of the things petsmart was insinuating was true. They are lazy, have no manners, and could care less what they are saying and now its coming across. If you love your pet, dont even bother going here!!

They used to price-match any website. Not anymore. Chewy . com it is. I cant justify paying full retail from a store like this when absolutely any on-line retailer sells food for less. Worst thing is, Petsmart pushes their clients for automatic on-line orders, but offers no discount for doing so. Sorry, its 2017 - Im done with retailers like this.
