A mall is only as good as its stores. I bit into a bad apple full of worms. I recently brought my dual Liz claiborne analog and digital watch to a small bagota called "The Jewel Box" the analog battery was dead and needed replacing. From all the knock offs had had in his display i should have known i what i was getting into. he charged me 17 dollars for the change and i notice he was having trouble with reassembling the watch. as soon as I got home the digital display wouldnt stay on as if the battery wasnt attached right. I said hmm i asked for a new ANALOG battery why is the digital acting up. He said I said a 3 month warranty. so a day latter i brought it back and he refused to help me he ask " what can I do?" I replied it wasnt like this when i brought it AVOID THE JEWEL BOX

I went on during two weekends, during "peak hours" and largely there was very low traffic on both. Some of the store were having sales and clearances, but even then there were very few consumers. The food court had more traffic than any of the stores put together which is unfortunate. Rue21 was shutting down when I went, and that was the only time I saw a lot of people in the place to take advantage of the ridiculously low prices. Overall the mall is very clean (not many people there) and it still has a number of popular stores still operating. I read somewhere the mall was going to be shutting down, and when that happens, I guess there will be more people coming..

Not much to say this is one of those run down probably on its way out the door old-school malls. An ever-increasing number of vacant storefronts continue to plague this this dying Mall with their desperate paper covered windows contributing to the overall feel of impending doom. Recent years have had a at least one murder in the parking lot and a whole lot of muggings and carjackings. But its the closest place with a Macys where we can do our free returns for stuff we ordered online that doesnt fit so its a necessary trip. We only go just at opening hours when things tend to be more empty and calm. I wouldnt dare to traverse their parking lot after Dark.

This is an ok mall. There are zero healthy food options and most of the shops are fairly pricey clothing stores (online shopping might be a better option here). It is extremely l clean and has really interesting artwork/holiday decorations. The four big department stores attached are pretty standard, nothing exceptional. The kids play area is standard too, except for the 42 inch height restriction. All of the stores and staff were very therapy dog friendly, which is great. Overall an ok place to go for a walk and window shop.

This mall has seen better days. Its run down and outdated. There are a lot of stores that are closed now and it doesnt look like new ones will be taking their place anytime soon... Your parking lots arent full, your eatery is looking pretty bland. Theres barely a crowd walking through you. This place has potential! Pump out some serious renovations and go after national chain stores. It isnt too late. Unless you are looking to go to a specific store - its worth the trip to head a few exits down to Montgomery Mall.

Some stores dont last very long here. They got rid of the play area for kids right in the middle of the mall and made a super small area on one side that only benefits kids under 3 yrs. They do have raffles and such but the quality of stores has gone down drastically over the last few years. Only a handful remain year after year. I think if a better kids area was built there would be more traffic. Never the less Im glad JCPenney, Gymboree, foot locker and Macys are available close to my home.

Shady people go here which makes me feel bad for all of the staff that works in the mall. Not much of a shopping mall if you have taste and really care about the garments that you wear. Frankly I think that this malls decline was because of the metro transit. Theres been many violent and heinous crimes. Even hate crimes and murder. I hope some day this will change because there are also lots of families an innocent people that are hard-working and have never committed crimes.

Many shops have closed or are closing soon. Its a great place for shopping at the big retail stores such as Macys and JC penny. Food court is ok, and has many different option from around the world to choose from. I think the mall needs many improvements, and is still the least popular mall around MC. I never had a complaint here, but its very dull and the management needs some drastic improvements when it come to the look and feel inside.

This mall, if were actually going to refer to it as such, is absolutely depressing! It seems as though theres a business closing every other day in this mall. The restaurants have terrible service and seem to be filthy on the last two occasions. A third visit will never happen, of course. The food court is always dirty and ghetto. It desperately needs new management or demolition...take your pick.

Ive lived in the Gaithersburg since 1983. This mall is NOTHING what it once was. It use to have great stores inside of it. Now its a shell of its former self. All thats left are really the 4 store anchors: JC Penney, Lord & Taylor, Hechts (now Macys), and Sears. In the 80s this mall was phenomenal. In early 90s this mall excellent. Now its just sad. I dont see this mall lasting much longer

Ive been going here ever since I was young, but I hope this mall doesnt turn into a dead mall anytime soon, as Ive noticed lots of stores are starting to go out of business. But its a shame that they took away the water fountain and playground area at the center of the mall in 2012 or 2013, as I remember throwing coins into it and making a wish when I was younger.

Mall got such bad reviews I had to go see for myself. Contrary to what I read online, this mall does pack a fair share of retailers. It isnt fast on the business side but the h and m is a good one to visit. There isnt much options for food and the design layout is the most confusing. However, I did enjoy shopping here although when I got hungry it was frustrating.

Ive been going to this mall since I was a little kid. A lot of people dont know that at one point it was one of the largest malls in the country. Like a lot of other shopping malls, its had its ups and downs, but it appears to be on an upswing again. The food court has plenty to offer, and all of the anchor stores that youd expect to be in a mall are there.

I picked up a package at one of the stores. Customer service at that store was pretty good, and more than one person made an effort to help me while someone was already waiting on me. I also had a wonderful encounter with another shopper, and exchanging hugs with him. This was one of the nicest experiences I had shopping here in several years!
