A huge thank you to Ft Washington H-D! Last summer I received military orders overseas for a year. As a single guy I honestly had no place to store my bike and my buddies with families were balking at helping me with it. I found out some H-D dealerships offer to store bikes for deployed military and Ft Washington H-D stored it for me free of charge for the year! It couldnt have been easier, I dropped it off and when I got back last week they had it washed, charged up, and ready to go and never asked for a thing in return. Ive been to Ft Washington a few times as well for service and overall Frank Vento and his team do outstanding work and they have a loyal customer in me. A lot of companies offer things of limited value to military members as a marketing strategy. I can tell you, this was a huge load off my plate when I was getting ready to leave and they dont have to do it- demand for H-D services is huge, this was something they do because they care and they dont brag about it. Im writing this so people know about it. For the record, in case youre comparing dealerships, I live in VA and my bike was actually at Patriot H-D getting a VA inspection as this was occurring- Patriot did not offer the same service, they were going to charge $50-100 a month. I called Ft. Washington and they said to just bring it over which of course I did and thats where I go for all service.

I cant recommend this dealer for service. The service adviser (Frank) was really tough to deal with. He was very vague about when he would be able to get my bikes service done. He insisted that his techs needed to do diagnostics to find out what was wrong even though wed traced down a charging issue. I called to find out what diagnostics turned up and he kept me on hold for 15 minutes and then gave me the run around and told me that hed call me when he knew something. He didnt call. I had to call again that afternoon and they were already working on the problem without calling me back. Id only authorized an hour and now he was doing the work without even talking to me first. And then when I picked up the bike, the service adviser got a real attitude when I told him that I felt like he was giving me the run around. The end result was my bike did get fixed. I had a bit of cleanup to do on my chrome but the bike is now on the road. Otherwise, the front desk people are nice, the service technician was good, and the parts department was also good. This is why I gave them a 2 and not a 1.

Most baffling experience at a dealership ever. After multiple phone calls (borderline harassment after previously setting up a date with the salesman) about coming to view a bike I inquired about online, I show up to view the bike. The salesman just takes off after taking me to the location of the bike. I waited another ten minutes and finally left. 20 min later I get a text from the salesman apologizing and he stated they were busy. I tried to give him a chance so I asked about the price of another bike. He stated he had to get back with me on that. I stated ok let me know on the following business day. Time came and past, I never heard from the salesman. I decided to take my business to another dealership in which I purchased another bike that is twice the value of the bike that ft wash harley was selling. Maybe more attention should be focused on serious buyers. If the owner is going to post the same generic message I read in the other reviews, youre better off saving a few electrons.

I purchased parts from Washington HD online ... the parts were to arrive at my address 7-10 days later. After 11 days I contacted the dealership parts dept, the individual who answered the phone had no idea that they even sold parts online. I was then passed on to an individual who was able to confirm that they had indeed received my order (11 days ago) and it has yet to be shipped. When I asked why my shipment was late and had yet to be shipped, she only offered excuses and the "its not my job response" -- someone else handles shipments. If this is an example of their customer service then I will take my business elsewhere from now on. The all to common arrogant Harley Davidson Dealership attitude is getting old. My future purchases will be from Chicago HD or Mikes Famous HD, they offer better service, better price, and timely shipping! Without the attitude!

Thank you Harley Davidson Washington for your support of St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. In years past when my husband rode, he relied on the services of the Ft. Washington location to maintain and service his bike. Its been a few years since Ive stepped into the store. I stopped past a few months ago as a member of the Host Committee for St. Jude, in hopes Harley Davidson would support the cause. You did!! It is greatly appreciated by the families who pay not one dime for the cure to help save their childrens lives. We hope to be a part of next years Memorial Weekend Event. Together as a community we can make a difference. Respectfully, Christie

Wow, I am surprised at this controversy posted here. As a recent Harley owner I just started going to this shop. I am familiar with the Nation of Islam and have personally attended and listened to Minister Farrakhan. I wonder how many of the folks that appear to be quoting what he has said or advocates have done the same. Actually listened to a sermon by him, not a news bite, or someones elses interpretation of what he said - but actually listened to him? From what I have read I can tell its not many. I can remember these were the same things I heard about Martin Luther King when he was alive. I guess it just means nothing changes. Thanks.

Ms.Debbie West is the best. She is good at her job and a great people person. I have known her the entire time I have owned my Harleys ,she always is pleasant and has a way of making me feel at ease. It is so good to see her when I am in to purchase supplys and parts, she kind of has a way to take the sting out of some of the trouble related nessesities . I am loyal to the brand and to my sales person . I miss Jimbo ( two Harleys ). I will keep an open mind ,welcoming new relationships to the possibility of finding a new sales person if am so persuaded . Thanks again to Debbie , nice to all ways see your smiling face.

I Just purchased my second Road Glide Ultra. This experience was heads and shoulders above my previous purchase in Louisiana. The staff treated me like family and never once rushed my decision. The staff was professional, attentive and accommodating. I feel like I got the very best deal from the very best staff and I walked away feeling like I just made new friends. For example, I wanted my old backrest so the store manager gave me a new one so the new bike would be all new. U just dont get that type of attention to detail from dealers anymore. I will continue to recommend HD-Washington to all of my fellow bikers.
