I dont normally write reviews, but I feel this one is deserved. Ive been to this store a few times before and never had a great experience (they dont do a very good job at the cutting counter, jagged crooked edges, and for some reason cant cut to specific sizes, also not very helpful staff). But I also havent had a horrible experience...until today. Came in today with my 1 year old to return something and look around for other stuff for a project. There was already a huge line at the register and the only one to greet us was the girl at the register. I kindly asked where I could return something and she said to hop in line. Anyone with kids knows you dont have a lot of time to just stand in line. Thinking I could just find the stuff I was looking for in the store first, I asked the the girl if I could do an exchange and walk the store. She snapped back "do you have a receipt", which I answered "yes" but was surprised by her tone...as if I was going to steal the stuff I was already returning?! She seemed flustered, so I just said fine Ill stand in line. She finally asked for assistance at the registers since there was already a long line. And due to her attitude, I decided to return my items then promptly leave. I will find another store to take my business. Very disappointed with the customer service.

So relatively new to crafting, but not new to retail or customer service. Only 3 people working during peak hours on a Saturday. I watched an associate completely ignore everyone around her. I did a lap around the store trying to find the item I needed. 10minutes layer, still ignoring customers. Ok, no big deal. So I went up to her and politely started to ask where I could find something, she cut me off before I could finish, waved her hand in the general direction I could go. As she walked away I told her I already checked that isle and she point blank told me that I had to wait until she helped another woman waiting at the fabric counter. This is an unbelievably rude behavior. While I understand the other woman may have been waiting prior, or may have spoke with her earlier, you do not dismiss a customer. Regardless of who is waiting you at least let them finish a sentence, then explain why you arent able to help them at that moment. You do it with a smile, to their face, not waving them off in a general direction with your back turned. If this is the kind of behavior management allows, its not worth coming here. I will never shop here again.

They cut my fabric very crooked and jagged edge. Dont be fooled by the prices it was just as expensive anywhere else. They just mark the prices up and label them 40% off. I politely asked if they would re cut one side just to make it a bit neater and they snapped at me as if I had asked for them to re cut the whole thing, which would have been properly deserving. I practically had to fight the cashier, Haley, for my receipt after the transaction because she dropped it into a pile of other receipts and didnt want to sort through them. Then claimed she could not reprint the receipt and how she was the manager and was rude and disrespectful. Jo-Ann is truly an awful place to shop. There was one helpful older lady who was extremely knowledgable and knew exactly what I needed. But, since she was surrounded by teenage coworkers, she hardly had a moment to breath trying to catch up, let alone help us.

I have had horrible customer service several times at this particular location. I went to buy yarn that was 25% off and grabbed some candy that was 50% off on my way in. When I went to check out the yarn came up regular price. After having an employee double check I decided not to get it. After purchasing my items I walk out to my car only to realize that the candy was not sold to me at the discounted price. I went back in to get it fixed and a gentleman whereing an immature Pokemon hat checked the price telling us that it was not on sale when the tag was directly underneath listing these items. Ones I got home I checked the yarn I wanted to purchase on their web site and sure enough it WAS on sale. Long story short the employees can be lazy and rude.

Asked for help getting into spray paint at 530pm was told it would be a few minutes its now 6:15pm the store is closed and no one has been back to let us into the paint glad to know that the mod dosnt stick to their word or makes customer service a priority. Ill be makeing the drive out to store 2055 from now on.

I love this place and the staff but... They dont have enough staff. The clearance never rings up at the clearance. I dont look at receipts till I get home because they alway have a long line. So i dont want to take up more of the staffs time. Staff is so nice and theu try there hardest to please the customers.

As far as Jo-Ann Fabric stores go I would give it a 5. The people have been really nice (Ive run into my fair share of mean fabric cutters at other locations) and the store is clean and well stocked. I knocked it down to 4 stars just because its still a Jo-Anns.

I have yet to meet an employee at this location who was not willing to have a conversation with me about my projects or go the extra mile to get the perfect material. This JoAnns needs to stay, as there are so few fabric stores in Lakewood.

Small selection of products offered, but they carry the basics. Staff is friendly and polite, but plan to wait a while in the fabric cutting and checkout lines. Not awful but not great, your standard chain fabric store in a small location.

never any staff on the floor to help. no one in the store could find any paper for making your own patterns. its fine if you have no interest in creating crafts from scratch and want everything pre-made and ready to assemble.

Clean functional Jo-Ann store. Be sure to download the app for current coupons. Cutting table is managed by a number system, so be sure to grab a number and shop for any notions you need until your number is called.

The bathroom here is gross... Selection is decent but nothing special, just simply convenient if you live or work in area
