I went to Famous to purchase a pair of sandals/flip-flops for my fiancee for our upcoming cruise. He loved them and probably wore them a total of four times for short periods of time over the span of two weeks. At the start of the third week, he notice that the strap-across part was detaching from the sole. It was not from wear and tear, and there was not any significant pull or intentional destruction toward the sandal. I told him I was going to exchange it. In review of Famous return policy, I saw that exchanges/returns could only be granted with unworn footwear. The shoe was clearly defective, but in my mind I had two choices: come up with a bulletproof case or super glue the shoe. Either way, I doubt my fiancee would have noticed, but Im a stickler for you get what you pay for. If Id purchased the slides from the Goodwill, then it would have been likely that the shoes would fall apart. However, I spent nearly $50 on quality slides and had high expectations for the life of the shoe and our satisfaction with them. I was prepared for the manager to refer me to the receipt or throw the policy book in my face and believe it or not, I was even prepared to write letters to the corporation and brand to notify them of my discontentment with my purchase. First, I called the store and filled in the manager about my problem. He asked me to come in for an exchange. I thought, "Wow, theres no way its that easy". So I drove to the store, spoke with the same guy, gave him the slides and receipt and he sent a sales associate to bring me the same shoe. Unfortunately, there were no more in his size in stock. In my head, I was prepared for them to check another store and send me to a Famous that had the size in stock. Before the look of disappointment even crossed my face, the Manager offered to ship the shoes to me. After I gave him my information, I told him that he had given me the best customer service that Ive ever received, across ALL services and businesses and he seemed shocked. Well, I certainly was as well. Kudos, John for your effort and kindness in making my transaction hassle-free and simple.

Found what I was looking for, and they even had a bogo sale going on. Store was clean. And associates were very helpful because I called for directions to the store and they were patient because I was lost. We definitely be returning.

Not the greatest selection of higher end shoes and prices are a bit higher than other places but still a decent shoe store.
