Founded in 1957, by Albert Wesley Lawrence. This NAPA store was owned and developed for "Automotive Wholesale and Retail Parts", during the next 30 years. The Colonel was a retired Army veteran of 30 years as well. Following his death, on July 6, 1993, the remaining familys POA, in time, decided, for the best of everyone, to sell the family business. A family owned business where he, his wife, and daughters grew up. The front of the store sold basic automotive lubrication, containers, hoses, tool boxes, or other automotive accessories. Behind the counter were rows of replacement parts, with a range of past and current model vehicles for a variety of different makes of autos. Customers could get custom colors made for painting their autos, core brakes returned, batteries recharged, and in the rear of the building there was engine repair and a large vat that was used to degrease engine blocks. Inventory was ordered daily Mon - Sat and unpacked upon arrival. Inventory was also counted by hand several times a year. Another special feature of this distributorship was delivery of parts around the county to its patrons.
