Two is being generous for our experience. Our waitress named Kat was apparently having some personal issues and probably should have gone home instead of risking the reputation of the restaurant. She didnt take our order, didnt bring our order or most of what we ask for nor our check which I had to flag down Ryan and ask for. She/Kat did manage to swing by at the end and say she was sorry she was so absent. The waiter who basically filled in for her most of the time brought my friends dessert, a piece of the chocolate coca cola cake which was broken into about 4-5 piece and said sorry your cake got a little broken. The whole experience was nothing short of a train wreck. I will never go back to that location. The waiter even said sorry about Kat but she is having a hard time because her dog is real sick and shared with us that earlier she had broken down and sat on the floor and started crying. I dont feel that should have been repeated to complete strangers who were just customers.

I wish there was an option for a half star or less. The waitress spilled my tea all over me, so I had to wait for my food cold and wet, and they didnt clean the floor or table or even put down a wet floor sign. They gave us a couple rags so we could do it ourselves. We didnt get any plates with our biscuits so we just ate them on the table. I ordered steak tips with eggs, hash browns, and baked apples. The steak tips were pretty big chunks and were pretty tough. I had to cut them with my butter knife since the waitress didnt bring me a steak knife. The eggs and hash browns were good but the eggs, which I ordered over easy were overcooked and barely runny at all. The baked apples still had the skin on them which I though was weird, everywhere else they peel them. The skin was pretty tough too. This is my 3rd bad experience between this location and the San Marcos one so I dont think Ill be coming back. Oh and I was still charged full price after having a drink spilled on me.

I enjoy this Cracker Barrel and if seated in the right section your server can just almost amaze you. Today Cathy waited on my family and she ran circles around that store keeping us happy. Unfortunately I witnessed her tables leaving tiny tips for her, yet she graciously accepted every dime. If youve ever witnessed a frustrated server just think about what you left as a tip and know their hourly wage is barely over $2. My daughter waited tables in college and would come home with the worst stories of affluent people and the cheap nature they had a tendency to show when out dining. Dont be cheap, that tip may be buying diapers for a child or putting a struggling student through school. Take care of your waitresses and waiters..

Very good food. Great meal prices. Drinks are where they obviously make their profit, besides the gift shop. $2.29 iced tea and sodas with refills. Ice water $0.00. Attentive staff. A little too intrusive for my taste. The best servers fulfill your needs without asking every 5 minutes if everything is ok, but make their presence known and seem to magically appear when you do want something. Drinks are kept full until the end of the meal. Website is exceptionally well done. Click LOCATIONS to find yours. Click on it and scroll down to find menus with prices. Cracker Barrel has more class than most similarly priced restaurants and have been pretty consistent in my experiences in different U.S. states.

Cracker Barrel has good food, but you should go to another one. I received with my family of three, three dirty silverware sets at the same time! We told the management who didnt seem to care at all then gave us three new sets of silverware, in which mine was again dirty. I commented on this and they brought me another set, which was again dirty. I received 5 sets of dirty silverware. The disgusting part is if were getting dirty silverware what does the kitchen look like. Go to another Cracker Barrel.

The thing about reviews is that you either have to give really good service or really bad service, there is no in between. I have come to this Cracker Barrel in 2 separate occasions and at different times, when busy and closing at night. Both times we were served by Caytlyn and she was an outstanding individual. She definitely makes you want to come back to this place and eat their delicious food. I highly recommend if yall are planning to come here to ask for Caytlyn to get incredible service.

I went last night (1/16/16) for dinner with the family and had my food dropped in my lap by the server. She looked at me and ran off. The manager on duty either didnt know what happened or just ignored the fact because he didnt even ask if I was ok. The food was hot, I had ordered the meatloaf, turnip greens and okra. A few minutes after my food got on my lap my server dropped the check on my table. So it was NOT a good dinner. I notified the MOD and he still didnt ask if I was ok.

We just got up and left before our food came! After ordering we wrapped our utensils to find dried food on all of our parties utensils. The manager was snappy and rude, she hardly apologized for it and said someone was bringing clean silver ware...again our utensils were filthy. We asked for clean utensils again and to our dismay they were filthy. Three strikes and youre out! Skip the Buda Cracker Barrel and go twelve miles south to san Marcos. Well worth the drive!

My girlfriends from out of town and I meet halfway at this store to celebrate birthday lunches and shop. I bought 24 tiny seasonal salt and pepper shakers. When I returned home, I noticed that nearly every price tag had been removed from the shakers by the clerk who reserved them for me at the counter. This was above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks. And the food is always great.

Quality has really gone downhill. Our server couldnt remember the littlest request (forgot drinks, napkins, ketchup, wrong food order). The food is disgusting. I ordered chicken friend steak and received something that looked like a crumby roadside diner chicken fried hamburger steak. My sisters chicken was burned. The grits tasted like tapioca somehow. Will never be back.

Ordered a simple cheese burger, medium. Got a rare burger, returned said burger and 25 minutes later received a medium well/ well done burger. The server was apologetic but the manager who brought the burger acted like I was just a nuisance. No discount, no comps, no coupons nothing. It will be a while before I set foot in the Buda, TX cracker barrel.

Great food selection there is something for everyone both healthy and indulging choices. The trout, hamburgers, smashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and the side corn bread muffins are really good choices. Service can be a little slow and forgetful when the restaurant is running a full capacity but its understandable. Love the place ambiance as well.

Place is clean, restrooms are decent, staff is wonderful, service is great, cooks send out the best food just like mama and grandma do!!! Portions could be a bit more generous, other than that, this is the place to go, it has reasonable prices. Do not forget the country store!! You will walk out with a gift for a loved one or for yourself!!!…...
