Changing my review from 5 stars. I brought my family here from NC because they love antiquing, and I usually find really cool vintage jewelry for cheap to add to my wardrobe so they wanted in on the find! The employees upstairs were rude and almost accusatory about pricing... from their 2 dollar sales table? Super odd since they were always kind to my husband and I many times before. Apparently one employee even asked my mom if she was a reseller a time she went previously upon my suggestion? So obviously it has become the tone of the store. My mother does professional beadwork, and uses many cheaper items she buys to scavenge for parts. Its a shame because there are so many cool things in the store and Ive bought so much over the last few years, but its almost not worth it to go anymore. Its almost like they stopped caring about selling anything or even customer service, and I suppose since its a small town they dont like people from a distance. Ive worked retail, so trust me I know it can be awful, but its not the type of store where I expect a smile and assistance unless I ask. At the same time, a grumpy person texting behind the counter and then trying to see into my wallet is not acceptable (especially if Im not paying?) and borderline creepy. That being said, the artsy woman downstairs is always nice and has great conversation! FORMER REVIEW Part of thrifting is the hunt! I like hunting through everything. We have found so many treasures here and continue to come back. The employees are helpful and really love their items, but enjoy sharing them even more :]
