I have never felt so incredibly offended and humiliated by an individual before I went to Downtown liquor. I was dropped off outside the store by a few of my friends, when I proceeded to walk into the store, EVERYONE was looking at me. Granted I may not look 21, but thats what identification is for. The young guy working the register then without asking to see my ID claimed that there is a law that states I cannot buy alcohol if someone in the vehicle I was in Isnt 21. Firstly, this is not true, He claimed that it is a law, that is also not true. I can buy, and have unopened liquor in a car full of 20 year olds and not be breaking any law, as I am a responsible adult and wouldnt be drinking and driving anyway. Second I thought that what happened to me last night was incredibly poor and frankly rude customer service. I went back to my own house, and picked up a car and proceeded back to the liquor store, by the time I had arrived they had shut the store 10 min before their hours entitled. From what it looked like, the guys working the register didnt look like he was 21 either. Im fairly annoyed at this stupid liquor store and I suggests to all you college students and newly 21ers to not be discriminated and have your America rights violated and this store. To the young men working the Register at 9:00Pm on July 3rd, you should be ashamed of yourselves you pigs.

I love this place. And, I noticed all the bad reviews are from transplants. This place is great, not everyone gets dry humor or quick wit... they are usually the first to be offended. If you cant handle the heat, youre probably not 21 or you ARE a douche. People need to stop taking themselves so seriously, this is a liquor store... Its a privilege to be able to enter, treat it as such.

These guys are always super helpful and friendly. Ive yet to have a bad experience here and the workers are always happy to help me find what I need. Since I live just a few minutes away this is where I always do my shopping, they have amazing prices and great hours. I recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable liquor and a great selection!

We just moved to town from out of state, and apparently at this store, valid, obviously real drivers licenses from other states are considered fake. The cashier refused to sell to us and was extremely rude. Even when we get our in-state licenses, we will not be going back here, and will be sure to tell everyone else not to go there either.

Not from Eugene. The clerk scoffed at my order and laughed when I asked for a bag and was surprised by the plastic bag ban. The man working the register was disrespectful and completely free unhelpful. I now know where I WILL NOT purchase liquor on any future visits to Eugene.

The staff is helpful and kept the atmosphere low-key.. which cant be as easy task for being in the heart of downtown. Ive lived here for about 5 years and never had a problem. The people writing negative reviews are probably just assholes
