TERRIBLE!! I went there to have a headlight changed in October. They told me they couldnt change it outside and they had to bring it in the shop, now i know why. After waiting 2 hrs they brought my car in the shop, then after 20 mins one of their crook salesman came out to the waiting room and told me they didnt replace headlights but i badly needed struts, shocks, power steering flush and brake system flush. Little did they know my car was just in to honest family owned & operated C & V Auto in Fishkill & they gave my car a complete check over and all those things were fine and not needed. When i brought the list to C & V they laughed & said they see this all the time as do all the other shops do. Mavis has commissioned inexperienced parts changers who are watched very closely with cameras by their corporate office that see & hears everything that is said to make sure they sell us work wheather we need it or not or they only get their very low base salary.I now know and you should too not to believe the fake reviews put on all their sites by their corporate offices.I learned this by talking to my coworkers son who used to work for Mavis and got tired of being told he had to sell work wheather the cars needed it or not. I also heard some of their employees call it Slavis because they make their employees work late at night & on sundays so they are also open to rip you off!! Go on google & yelp to read real reviews like this one. I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau like a lot of other customers they rip off all the time.The only reason they have gotten so big is they are very good liars and scamming the public. I also heard of their so called 59.95 brake specials costing people over 500.00 for work they really didnt need.Lets all be smart, stay away and report all dishonesty from Mavis

The store lied to me and wasted my time twice in one week. I will not do business with this location again. Details below. On Tuesday I researched new tires for my car and where to purchase them. I found the tires I wanted and the best price at Mavis. Mavis website said there were "only 8 left" of the tire I wanted. I called the store to schedule an appointment. The person on the phone said to come on in and they could take care of me in 60-90 minutes. He never asked which tires I wanted. When I arrived at the store I was told by Chet that the tires I wanted wouldnt be in until the next day. So the person I spoke with on the phone lied to me and caused to waste a trip. The next day didnt work for me so Chet made me an appointment at 1pm Thursday. I arrive at the store at 12:55 pm Thursday and turn in my car. I confirm with Jeff the work is expected to take 60-90 minutes. At 1:45pm I look out the window and my car has not moved. I understand the store was busy, but they should not have given me a 1:00 appointment if they werent going to be able to work on my car close to that time. Before arriving at the store, I expected to be able to leave around 2:30pm. My car was finally ready at 3:38pm. This was the second time I was given wrong information and had my time wasted. Getting out of there an hour late adversely impacted the rest of my day. Mavis may be a good company to do business with, but this store is not.

I made an appointment Saturday mid day for a Sunday appointment at 9:30 am today. I arrived at 9:20 am and said it would be a little bit of time which I was okay with. At 11:20 am, my car was still sitting outside. I walked up and realistically asked when will it be done to which he said another 2 hours. I have no problem waiting but please do not say a little bit of time and really mean 4 hours. What is the purpose of making an appointment when it cant be fulfilled? Would you of not said anything had I not come up to ask? At least Meineke in Fishkill would get you in under an hour and a half and they only had two garages and people coming in and out. And please Mavis if you read this save the generic script response for someone else. Just informing others.

Mavis Discount Tire wont let me post the damage they did to my truck on their page anymore. Dont use Mavis discount tires. The company is a joke. Went to court and they agreed to pay and to this day they still havent paid. Im just happy Ive been a good boy and not like my old self. But dont worry Im a great promoter Ive been telling people on a daily about you guys. I am actually going to turn my truck into a moving billboard so I can get my voice out to an even larger audience. This is just some of the damage

This new Mavis location opened just two months ago and I just had the chance to give it a try. Chet and Chris were excellent to deal with. They are knowledgeable, patient, and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed nor felt pushed for extra services. I felt they were very honest and extremely competitive on pricing. Ive been very happy with all my Mavis experiences and this new store will be my service location for years to come !

I had a bad experience with another Mavis location (Peekskill) many years ago, as in very Aggressive up-sell on front end work that was probably not necessary on a three year old car. A simple oil change cost me over $300, thirty years ago! This time, I wanted a certain tire and went to my local Mavis. No surprises. Very upfront and honest. Price was good, service was excellent. I will return.

Worst customer service! Ordered a single tire and was told it would take a day to arrive. 4 days and a weekend later still no tire and honestly no consideration either! Taking a look at the losers working there Im not surprised. Will never go back!!! Other local shops in the area to choose from that actually appreciate your business... Nick Scaramuzzo

The Hopewell Mavis is Awesome! Close to where I live and the staff is Great! and they treat you like Family... Chet who runs the place will tell you whats wrong with you car but wont upsell stuff you dont need.. not like the other local guys... if you need work done at good prices.. go in and see Chet! PS: John the mechanic is Great!

I was charged 40 dollars to take 4 tires off my car and put 4 new tires back on. Keep in mind the new tires were already mounted on rims, all they did was basically a tire rotation for 40 dollars......You be the judge....

Chet and The Team are honest, knowledgeable and timely. I Highly recommend this specific Mavis location. Had Struts and brakes done at fair price and expert installation. Done fast too!.

The best Mavis in the area.Jeff and the guys are honest and fixed problems other Maviss had screw up.I will not do business with the two Maviss on rt.9 Fishkill or Wappingers.
