On 4/1/13 I bought hot dogs that said eat by 3/15/13 last minute right before they closed and didnt get a receipt because the woman at the register was in a hurry. The next day I was going to make the hot dogs when I noticed they were discolored, so I looked at the date and saw they were expired. I went to take them back because I didnt want to feed them to my children and basically got called a liar and told they were taken off the shelf a month ago. So on top of getting bad food I got called a liar when I went to return them. To every one that checks this out DO NOT GO to deterdings the food there is out of date and may kill you. And if you try to return it you will be called a liar and made to look like a fool in front of every one!!!!

I ran into this store a few times when I and didnt feel like driving to a further grocery store. I have to agree with some of the other reviews. I would NOT suggest that you buy meat from this market at all. I observed that all of their meat, especially the chicken, had a gray tint. I got a half a pound of turkey breast lunch meat once and it was slimy. A lot of their items are also overpriced. I guess youre paying for the accessibility. If you live near by you could walk to this market. I will say that its a clean store and the lines are never long. But I wouldnt not recommend that you primarily grocery shop for your family at this market. The quality of produce, deli and poultry are below the bar.

The clerks and owners do not respect the Latinos, African-Americans, and any customers who are on any type of public assistance. They take advantage of there location across from several apartment complex full of African-Americans and Latinos. They sale you old and out-dated food at a discount one day and the next the price is doubled, marking down the markup. They put certain varieties on sale and others at regular price, the old switch and bait! These slimy racist, few ignorant black employees, and the one Latina are not worth the trouble or aggravation.

Its a great little grocery store to grab your basics or make a quick shopping trip. They do sell dairy free milk and butter but do not have much specialty products for someone with food allergies. They sell lottery tickets. They also have bags of ice. In the winter they sell rock salt so when everyone is out check here because they may have it.

I frequent Deterdings quite often, like every other day, very nice people working there, very helpful, some prices are too high, they are always having sales so you have to wait sometimes for the sale, but all in all I like Deterdings very much, they are very accommodating

Your typical small family owned grocery store. Fresh made Hoagies and seasonal soup are great. Not the best prices in town unless their having a sale thou. Great for in and out shopping. However if your in a rush I dont recommend going in on the first of the month.

Its a small store and choices are somewhat limited as a result. Sale prices are excellent but many daily prices cant complete with larger stores. However, the staff us usually very friendly and helpful, the lines are usually short as is any waiting!

Wonderful. Its a jewel that I never knew existed! Pine hills mom and pop store closed and I was stuck going to grocery stores until I found deterdings by accident yesterday. This will be my everyday store from now on!

It was fairly quick, in and out. The price on the one item I buy went up a dollar, however I did find something I have been looking for at other stores and havent been able to find for a while "Bacon Ranch Dressing.

store is over priced and sells expired food. never buy food from the dollar section near deli. not properly kept at temp and has been frozen thawed frozen thawed. a certain manager also has terrible people skills.

Favorite store to do grocery shopping. Not only is this store customer-friendly but it is reasonably priced. I can do my grocery shopping for my family of four in less than 30 mins. I love Deterdings!
