I was in your store yesterday looking to buy all sorts of things. Five minutes into browsing, I heard you stores absolutely tasteless and insensitive "PSA" announces along the lines of, "Good afternoon Junkee shoppers, we would just like to say if you are addicted to meth amphetamine, leave our store immediately and come back when youre sober." I get you guys are located in midtown Reno and may have a problem with drug addicts stealing things (I assume that is what inspired you guys to broadcast the anti-meth message) but the way it is worded is without tact. First of all, you call yourself Junkee. Whwn i first heard of you, I didnt believe you were a clothing store; I thought you were a dive bar. What kind of crowd do you think youre going to attract? Secondly, addiction is a disease and alienating individuals in such a rude manner does not help the problem, it contributes to it. Thirdly, someone doesnt need to be on drugs to shoplift from your store or cause a disturbance. Plenty of sober people are kleptos. I am disappointed. Ive been coming into your store nearly 8 years and never imagined something like this would come over your intercom. Perhaps instead of demonizing people with actual mental diseases you should provide a resource in the message that may guide an addict in the right direction, if it concerns you so much. But what is currently broadcasted could be the final straw that turns someone into a full blown addict. After all, the message was clearly designed to shame these individuals. People run to drugs when they feel like they have nowhere else to go. Needless to say, my partner and I left without spending our money because we do not condone such insensitivity. We know many people whos lives were ruined by meth. Ive told many people I know about this, all of whom were equally appalled. You will not see my patronage or the patronage of my peers until this is rectified.

Local business. Do support them. I knew the shop owners daughter in High School. Very creative family. This place is perfect for all of my cosplay needs. However, I have seen a petticoat that was WAYYY too expensive but Im not a major in fashion so perhaps it was reasonably priced. I literally went EVERYWHERE in town to find Lolita dress shoes on short notice and this was the only place I could find something similar. I was lucky that the shoes fit and they only cost me $10 of what could have been $80 elsewhere brand new. A little scuffed up, but the shoes did what I needed them to. Scuffs dont scare me, but they do to others. If you dont like worn items, dont shop here. Just remember, dont judge a shoe by its scuff! The staff is just as interesting as the store and are there if you need help finding something. The place is well organized, but big. So expect to be there for at least an hour.

VERY VERY Disappointed....... And with Time, WILL Tell on them. If you buy from these people who "Claim" to have the best prices / Lowest prices for antiques.... you ALL are being Fooled. I am a Thrift store junkee, I buy for the LOVE of the Past, They all are in it for the LOVE of Profit, and Yes people need to make a buck to live and servive, however marking items up four and five times, from where I saw the items at the good will or the salvation army is "OUT of Line" Not to worry though anyone playing these games and play with them will sink with them when the time comes for judgement. all I can say I feel sorry for what will come. Period. Mark MY WORD, today at 9:15 am 042612. With all the lOve in my heart. PS they did me WRONG... Shame on Junkee I USED TO LOVE THem

I really really like this store! its like the perfect store for hipsters haha but for anyone who is looking for something aunthetic and at a good price, GO HERE! they have really cute clothes too. very vintage. and theyre always friendly and helpful. one time i went there, these people were telling me not to park in the last parking space (i wasnt sure why, we were making gestures at each other lol) but one of the employees came out and told them to let me park there. i guess it was for an art show or something, but this truly showed that they really care about their customers! they have one side for clothes, and another side full of knick knacks and old vintage items like hats, records, dishes, furniture, etc

I love Junkees and I love their shop, its one of my favorite places for buying shoes, but every single time I have gone there either me or someone Ive seen has been treated horribly. Theres a guy who works there who is VERY VERY kind and helpful, just an overall cheery person who I thoroughly enjoy being around, but hes the only one. Everybody else seems like theyre in a bad mood constantly, then they go and take it out on their customers saying rude things to them and treating them like trash. They dont deserve to be in business with how horrible they treat their customers. But as long as you stay away from the staff and dont bother them on their oh-so precious time, the store is great and high quality.

I have been to Junkies to look at clothing twice over the past few years and both times the employees will look up from behind the counter, give a condescending sneer, and go back to what ever they were doing. No hello. No welcome to Junkees. Nothing. The last time I was in the store there was a blond employee, who I believe is an owner, was leading the condescending sneer campaign from behind the counter. When leaving the store I received the same icy stares. No thank you for stopping. No have a nice day. Nothing. If the business is causing that much distress for the owners and employees, maybe its time to close up shop and pursue endeavors that will make you happy.

Go to Junkee for a really good time. You can play dress up for hours and Jessica will even help you play. The best thing is that you can even afford to buy all the dress-up outfits she helps you put together. This is the only used clothing store I have been in that is super clean and non-smelly cat too! Great lighting as well. Who knew? It is absolutely huge too and has an awesome accessories section. Once you pimp yourself, you can even check out the antiques side to rock your house or get a unique gift for someone as well. It is all affordable. Love it and Love that Jessica Schneider too. She is one stylish and sweet cutting edge woman!

A BAD EXPERIENCE! I asked a heavy set women for some help finding items, I was told I just dont know & its my day off, when clearly she seemed like she was working. I was told to go ask the guy across the store for help. The store is fun & the young guy was very nice. Sadly, I wont be going back into Junkee Clothing Exchange, until this Heavy set lady is gone! Im sure the owner of the store who does T.V., promoting her own & other business in town must not know how badly her store is being run, while she is gone! Items in the store are not Cheep, and as it was I spent $57.00 the day I was there, Im guessing they dont need the business.
