I have bad experiences everytime I go to the Cracker Barrel in Valdosta Ga and Lakepark, Ga. I love their food but their always seems to be either the server or the cooks dont quite understand how to fill my orders. For instance, if I order te country boy breakfast I specifically say; EGGS COOKED WITH THE WHITES DONE AND THE YOKE RUNNY. THEY COME OUT FRIED HARD AND BUSTED. If I order the pinto beans , I specifically ask for alot of juice but everytime I have to ask for more. Thats just 2 examples. Very few times that I have been that I got my food the way I ordered it. I am not a picky or hard to please person. About 2 months ago at the Valdosta location, me and my son both ordered the chicken sandwich on Texas toast. His came out perfect. Mine , the bread wasnt even toasted, I had one piece of burnt bacon and only a thin slice of tomatoe. I explained to the server and she looked at me like I was stupid , took the sandwich back , about 15 minutes later she came back with it and she had added another piece of bacon and it appeared the bread had been put in a toaster with no butter . I asked where was the cheese , she didnt say anything she turned and walked off. I asked another server could he take the sandwich back and have the cheese added he said Ill get your server. She never came back but a few minutes later the manager came out and asked what was wrong I explained it. He apologized then immediately sent someone out with a slice of cold cheese. I have never refused to pay but they never really say anything but were sorry.

Terrible experience. We were seated at 7:00pm and waited until 8:15pm for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the delivered food was incorrect. It was supposed to be the grilled catfish but fried was delivered. The dining room was filthy, with napkins and trash on the floor. We were seated by a recent spill that had occurred prior to us arriving, with the spill still on the floor but with a wet floor sign out. This remained for the entire meal. Our server was very polite and apologized at every interaction with us as well as with the people seated around us. Its unfortunate that the server has to apologize so often. I understand the runners can only deliver food as fast as the backline can produce, so we cant be too critical on the servers, despite most having the "Rising Star" aprons on. I worked in food service all throughout high school and college and understand there is a lunch/dinner rush, but we work around that and anticipate it. I believe the management here is to blame. This site is consistently out of foods/condiments. Broccoli, mixed vegetables, and light Italian dressing are the routine menu items that are unavailable. Tonight’s issue was they didn’t have the seasoning for the grilled rainbow trout. My wife and I will be going to the Lake Park location if we decide to ever return.

We are regular Cracker Barrell customers and have taken our 5 lb. Papillon in with us multiple times in his carrier. Today we had a cranky waitress who didnt seem to be happy working and who subsequently complained about our pooch in his enclosed carrier to the supervisor on duty. We got kicked out, citing his presence as a public health violation. HOWEVER, the folks at the table next to us had a 20 lb. therapy dog (supposedly) who they allowed to sit UP in the chair AT the table while they ate. I get the importance of therapy dogs, but really he should have been on the floor. So, my meal was packed to go and my daughter and grandkids stayed inside and had their breakfast. This was the first time weve had bad food AND bad service. The pancakes were raw inside and the food cold. So I guess, no more Cracker Barrell for us. And, by the way, its 85 degrees outside and the supervisor actually suggested I leave my dog out in the car. In our state, that would be considered cruelty to animals at that temperature. Just sayin.

Terrible experience. Ordered two eggs got one. Eggs were cold. Ordered grits butter would not melt in cold grits. Waitress was multitasking over three tables it took at least 10 minutes to get her attention to tell her about the horrible food. The coffee and the thick-sliced bacon were good but it did not make up for the terrible experience. They asked at the cash register about how everything was. I told him what happened they asked if I wanted to wait for the manager. I told him I did not have time Im traveling. So my big question is is that why cant restaurants get it right the first time. Why do we always have to wait for the manager to get the meal for free that they should have done right to start with. I told them I would pay them back with the review.

What is up with this store? First, standing in line for 20 minutes when there wasnt a wait. I was not the only one confused how there was line and no one taking names. Gave my drink order after my husband asks for water. Husband says change mine, same as hers. Waiter asks me what drink I want. Wait, what? I just said my drink like 10 seconds ago. Get drinks. Waiting waiting waiting. Husband has refilled his drink three times. Waiter asks if we want bread while we wait. Yes, please. Sorry for the wait. Waiting waiting. Another refill. Waiter asks if we want bread while we wait. Sorry for the wait. WTF. Didnt I say yes to bread 15 minutes ago. Now, I am thoroughly convinced this mfr is dumb as rocks or stoned out of his mind.

We were seated in a timely manner by the hostess, and the server was prompt to greet us. The dumplings I ordered tasted like pasta so I got apple sauce in place of it, hence the two stars. However, the fish my companion was served was tasteless and uncooked in the middle with a few sprinkles of cornmeal on the top. By the time she got the replacement it had to be put in a takeout box. The replacement was trout and it had skin on it. Twice the servers came around to top off teas for customers, and both times we were ignored - we sat for the whole meal with one glass of tea which had so much ice it was like drinking flavored water. I feel that the name says it all - "cracker" barrel since we were the only blacks there.

Very poor experience which is disappointing bc its cracked barrel you expect it to be great. First we get on the waiting the list...so we thought, they said 45 mins & we said we would split up to be seated quicker. Ok so then every 3-5 party that came in after us was seated & finally we went up there & they were like ooohhh yea... we get seated & takes 10 mins to get drink orders taken...which it is Sunday & busy so understandable. We ended up looking at the app with restaurant health grades. A few orders came out wrong. It was unfortunately the worst cracker barrel experience & maybe Im just used to them always being great even if theres a wait.
