They called me minutes after processing my online application which made me more skeptical of them right there. But I went ahead with it, my credit isnt even all that terrible, honestly they had the car I wanted there. I was expecting 20% interest. What I didnt expect is to be waiting there for them to decide to tell me after an hour and a half I had been approved again and then to sit me down and tell me they wanted my trade and 4k down. What they didnt know is that I had cash as well from my Mother was financing me, I was planning on purchasing the vehicle anyway. They made the mistake of saying I could check out the vehicle while I was waiting, and one of the bum sales people was using it as their personal ride and there was a stinky mildewy coffee cup in the holder with the partnering essence of cigarettes put out in a cup next to it. And the dash was cracked. So as soon as they told me about the money down and brought my truck back from test driving. I said thanks and ran the hell out of there. Plus the whole operation around there just seems sinister, didnt have a good feeling the whole time. You can just tell there are slimey people there. Thank Bo Dangles for making this an easy decision. By the way why do you pull all the dvd players out of your vehicles and leave huge holes in the headliner? Everest automotive worked very well getting me financed for nothing down and Guarantee auto sales will get you a vehicle if you have bad credit in Seminole and their vehicles are clean.

I originally purchased a car from Thifty in 2009 and decided now that I was ready to trade it in in 2012. I spoke to a salesperson who told me that I had been approved to trade in my vehicle. I drove all the way from Jacksonville to Clearwater to sit at the dealership ALL DAY only to be told that they couldnt help me. Sooooooo I decided to try again yesterday to apply online, I got a phone call by from Mike this morning telling me he could help me, after reminding him of the experience I had last year with the office and asked that before I made the trip down could I be approved first BEFORE I made that trip. He got an attitude and stated "Sorry I cant help you, have a nice day". What I dont understand is why would someone want to sit at a dealership ALL DAY waiting on them to crunch numbers ESPECIALLY with a person that is ALREADY a customer. I digress

I am by nature skeptical of Sales people. However upon my visit with Thrifty Car Sales, 1. I was not being run down by money hungry salespeople fighting for my sale, as a matter of fact no one even came outside to approach me as they allowed me MY time to look at the different vehicles available on their lot and when I was ready I went inside and received the assistance then. I so appreciated that. 2. They didnt sugar coat anything, it was what it was. My credit isnt the best and I was expecting a harder hit than I get with Financing, I again appreciated that. 3. I would recommend Thrifty Car Sales in Clearwater be put on everyones car shopping list if you are looking for a reliable car / truck in GREAT condition with competetive pricing then look no further. Im extremely dissapointed in the service my family and I recieved at Thrifty. When we first stopped by to check out the car and find out what the price would be, Bo greeted us and got us all the information very quickly while still being professional and friendly. My father called back a few days later to see if the price could possibly be lowered at all because it seemed a little high. He spoke to Dan, who told him to "F off" and that "the car was priced too low so he was going to raise the price", then proceeded to hang up on my father. We were planning to buy the car even if the price hadnt been lowered, and his response was completely unnecessary. Because of the unprofessional attitude Dan showed my father, we will not be doing business with Thrifty ever again.

Feel free to go check them out and waste your time! I did! I walked away saying there has got to be something better that this! Somehow i was approved for a 10,000 car, then shown 10 cars on their lot that were all 10,000. All of them the same price. Considering my credit wasnt that good, i didnt need a 10,000 car. Plus the 1,300 warranty you have to buy also. I ended up getting a 6,000 car with a 1,300 warranty also and i only pay for 30 mos. Much better deal from All Seasons Auto Sales in Largo. They deal with poor credit but they dont stick it to you like thrify. Dont get sucked in to thinking thrifty is your only option. If it doesnt work at all seasons either. Keep trying. Youll find a deal you can live with!

I was initially excited about my purchase of a used car at Thrifty Car Sales Clearwater. The car I got is adorable and I am enjoying it. The process of buying was somewhat painless and Michael was helpful. However, the car has had mechanical issues and it has been VERY difficult to get the repairs completed, even with my 100% 90-day warranty. I feel like I keep getting the run-around. I urge you to get an established mechanic to inspect any car you consider purchasing. I hope that my car will be fixed soon, but I rarely receive return phone calls...

My boyfriend bought a car here and they were good to him, so he referred me. I had a higher trade in, and better credit history, and not only did they treat me like DIRT, they made me wait HOURS. Finally I left, and they promised they would call. I called serveral times with no response. I finally went back about a month later, and asked why they hadnt called me, they were RUDE and acted too busy for me. They called me several weeks after I had bought a car, and the guy ended up hanging up on me after I mentioned I had gone elsewhere. AWFUL.

He is a great person who treated me with the utmost respect over the course of the past 6 months. He always had time to assess what I had to say (without negative judgment for my situation) and always called me back within a few minutes. Every time!!! :) I have already recommended him as well as Thrifty Car Sales- to 3 different people this past week alone! So awesome! :)

Never go to this place. The sales people are obnoxious jerks, typical car salesman. We walked out because they were trying to charge double what the book value of the car is, and with high miles, too! Their sales tactics are sleazy and they try their best to hide their price from you. If you go, take 1 look at the salespeoples attitudes and youll see what I mean.

My husband and I had a good experience here. They people that helped us was Bo and Dan they were honest did pressure us into saying yes to the car. We finally said yes to getting the car. They were honest about the payments. Im glad we said yes. We are happy with the car. This was the only place that got us approved for a loan. Im glad we deciding to go there.
