Scarlet Marigold

I dont know what people are talking about. This is THE highest priced store in the area of New Hampshire Avenue NW. A loaf of bread costs $3.00! Orange juice costs $4.00, a small jar of coffee costs $5.00. It is super expensive, and Im surprised they dont make you pay for the shopping cart that you use to shop with. This store needs to go and it needs to be replaced with a much affordable grocery store that wont take all of the money from the shopping consumer. Its ridiculous.

Staff is friendly and always willing to help. Some items in produce are sold in larger packages; 10 jalapenos and if you need just two, ask the guy in produce and hell provide two for you. They also carry a wide selection of Goya products! Lots of Badia spices; an entire shelf full. Some items are fresher than Safeway, or even Whole Foods and at a fraction of the cost.

Cheapest quality grocery in Petworth/Fort Totten! Seriously about 30 percent cheaper than Safeway on nearly everything except national brand chips.
