A few years back, took my 2004 Honda Pilot in for some kind of inexpensive oil change deal. Waited a long time. Eventually paid and got my vehicle, but had a funny feeling when I didnt see the sticker in the windshield noting when my next oil change was due. Asked the guy to open up the hood and check the oil. It was dirty - because it hadnt been changed! Free oil change that day, but also lost a lot of trust. September - 2014 - when our Lexus died, made the mistake of talking to the showroom sales team about a used Accord - INSTEAD of just going through internet sales. Hours of haggling and pressure to lease a car instead of buy. Additional pressure to trade-in instead of selling to private party. Got a decent certified Accord but lost way too much of my life playing defense against hard-sell tactics. Will go through internet sales next time and contact multiple dealers. July 3 - 2015 - Faulty airbag light on dash. My own trusted mechanic said Pilot must be taken to dealer. Its a possible warranty/recall issue. Autonation said $100 to even diagnose but might be free if its an airbag/seat belt issue. It was. Was told part would be in by next Tuesday. No need to confirm arrival of part, just schedule an appt. for work to be done. Scheduled for a Saturday. Checked in. Was told they were really busy and best I get a shuttle ride home so I dont wait a long time. Got a shuttle ride back home, planning to leave car as long as it takes. Got a call from dealer - the part was NOT in! Complained about how much of my time and theirs was wasted. Maybe Saturdays wouldnt be so busy if they planned ahead on part availabilty? I dont work in auto service, but just sayin. Makes sense, no? Weeks go by. My wife was in for an oil change on another car. She asked - by the way, when will the part for the Pilot be in? Oh, it WAS in, they said. And they are about to ship it back because it has been in so long. Why did they not call me? Because they make no money on a recall? I dont know. So Im driving around a couple of months with faulty airbags, my family in the car, and they have the part but dont take the initiative to tell me. August 29 - Called to make sure part was in. Transferred to parts. Yes, its in. Transferred back to service - told them my wife made an 8:30 am appt for me. They dont see that appt. Really? Is this another one of those Saturdays Ill spend eating donuts and coffee or being shuttled back and forth while hoping my car actually gets repaired? Got them to promise me a loaner this time. Went in. No need for loaner, they say. Well fix it in an hour. About 90 minutes later, only when I inquired, their coffee going stale, I found out service was complete. I hope so anyway. Drove off, hoping to never step foot in the place again.

I was leased a brand new 2013 Honda Civic beginning February 2013. The sales agent was great! But went in to service my car for an oil change this month, and was very disappointed in their promised "helpful" Honda service. When I went into the service center, the service rep asked if I had an appointment. This time around, I did not. The rep said that they would not take my car without an appointment because they were booked for that day...with over 100 cars...and they were booked for the rest of the week. I was confused because I couldnt believe that all those cars had an appointment. So I asked to make an appointment for the earliest day that I could, which was Monday the following week. I left, and decided to check online if they were actually booked for today and the rest of the week as the rep had said. To my surprise, they were not booked at all!! They had available time slots for the rest of the day, and the rest of the week! I made an appointment that same day, just one hour later. As you can imagine, I was upset that I had been lied to from that service rep. I understand if they were having a busy schedule that day, but dont try to cover it up and brush me off. Just do your job to provide me with the "helpful" service that is promised and that I am paying for. I felt like I had a good relationship with Honda, but now they are losing my trust. I also requested to not have my car washed. It was dirty, and I didnt want them running the car through their car wash because I did not want the brushes to scratch my car. The previous time I took my car in and it was washed there, I had scratches on the hood of the car when I got it back. I wanted to wash the car myself this time. When I arrived to pick up my car, I asked if they washed the car. They said yes! After I requested it not to be washed. I even saw the invoice order that read "NO WASH!" in capital letters, and highlighted for my car. And that request was ignored. Again, losing my trust. Unfortunately, the Customer Relations Manager had already left so I could not talk to her. I was given her phone number and had to leave a voice mail. Waiting for a call back. I guess no matter where you go to service your car, you have to watch your own back! I thought I was safe at Power Honda Valencia. I gave it 3 stars because of the friendly and helpful service when I first went in to lease the car a year ago.

Auto Nation rocks! I had such a great experience getting my first car. First off, I was a bit apprehensive going to a car dealership- I was nervous on what to expect and whether I would be able to afford to walk away with a new car. Nonetheless, my apprehension faded by the welcome we received in the parking lot prior to entering the dealership. When we went inside, we were connected with an available salesperson quickly, and he took his time listening to me in regards to what kind of cars I was interested in. Moreover, after showing me used cars per my request, he quickly led me on to the new cars I wanted to see when I decided I was not interested in purchasing a used car. He was very engaging, and once he took me to the new car lot for 2017 Honda Civics, he asked me what my top 3 color choices for a car were. Come to find out, AutoNation Honda had all my top 3 colors and other colors in the car I wanted. I was able to test drive the car, and it was a great ride. Also, the salesman who assisted me made sure to share all the features of this car with me. When I decided that I loved the car and couldnt leave without it, he brought me in for the next step-paperwork. Though that process can be long, I did not feel weary because I was overcome with excitement and because the entire time the AutoNation team made sure we were comfortable, that we had water, and that any of the questions we had were answered. I got an amazing deal on my NEW car and on top of that I got $500 added to my down payment just for being a college grad (with proof of course). After I signed my paperwork, I went to talk to a finance guy, and he made the process of finances fast and fun. I decided on an amazing warranty program due to the persuasiveness of the finance guy and the realization that it would save me a lot of money over the years. Once I was through with finance, I walked out to take pictures with my newly washed car. I was talked through all other features in the car too. I cannot trade my experience with AutoNation, for an experience at any other dealership. I definitely recommend their services and encourage you to get your cars from AutoNation. In summary, you will experience enthused and attentive staff and a dealership with many car options.
