I have shopped Hope for several years. I am so pleased to spend my money at a local business that truly puts back into the community. They help so many, and if you shop here...by way of your purchases, you help many as well. I have found many items over the years that have served our family well at great prices. I find that most prices are quite reasonable. Once in ahwile, I find an item that is a bit out of my price range, but that is no problem knowing that in 1-3 weeks that item will go 25-50% off. And if by chance the item has sold by then, I expect that it wasnt meant to be mine anyway. And, new items flow out to the sales floor daily so something just as great will come along shortly. They have a great rotating sale system. If you ask a sales associate to explain it, they are most helpful. Speaking of staff, we have always had a great experiences with the staff. They work to build a team that is willing to serve and assist! From manangement to cashier to donation acceptance; all staff is friendly and kind. I am proud to shop Hope Gospel. Check it out!!

This is a great business. They have an amazing cause and they do their best to give you great prices on used items. I shop here all the time. Dont listen to these bad reviews. Those people are snubs, go shop at Wal Mart if youre going to complain about low prices. Ive shopped here for many years now and they have good prices, but obviously they are a small business trying to survive, while providing for the needy and giving back to our community. This is a wonderful place to shop and find some of the best bargains in town. Ive found some really great deals here. God bless these people.

A ton of selection in just about every category possible. The clothes were clean and well displayed. A pan that I was interested in didnt have a price, when I took it to the cashier she said a price that I thought was a bit high, and when I offered a different price she said she could just not sell it to me at all. Kind of of a poor attitude. But who knows, she might just have had a bad day. Prices were fair and reasonable on most items, but not dirt cheap. A good store overall!

nice stuff but you mit as well go to walmart to buy for the prices ...the prices are what rich people pay ...not what under prelivaged people can afford ...alot of the stuff they priced as antique & they are not an antique store they advertice to help low income people ...they are just helping them selves ....the same as savation army ...& st vinies ...good will ...they are all greedy & then beg for you to send money to them ...seems like pan handlers to me !!!!°

Clean, pretty well-organized, and theyve got a big store, leading to a big selection. Because its all donated, youll find new things every time. Ive bought a couple of pairs of clothing from this store, and for cheap. If you look hard, youd be surprised at what you can find in your size that looks good.

Great bargains; nice, clean, large, pleasant place to shop for furniture, kids clothes & toys, dishes/glasses/kitchen needs, clothing & shoes for adults, books, sports equipment, occasionally pet items, wedding/formal gowns, jewelry, bedding, fabric, framed art, etc. We shop here 1-3x a month

Racks of clothes are well-sorted and items are clean and in good shape. Good selection for men, women, and kids. If youre willing to spend a few minutes looking through the racks, you can usually find some good deals. Increasingly I check here first for all but dress clothes.

The guy who took our donations was very snobbish and off putting. Otherwise it is like most second hand stores. Hit or miss. I feel the prices can be high on some outdated stuff. But it is what it is.

I was at Hope this past weekend looking for a coffee table. I looked at the coffee table and they wanted 80.00 for it. It wasn;t even worth half of that. The table had scratches and niks all over it.

As with any thrift/donation store, inventory is not or miss. Sometimes youll find a few diamonds in the rough, other times you wont. Friendly people that super a great cause, so whats not to love?

Kind of a funny smell and a lot of things seem slightly overpriced. However you can find some pretty great deals here and there every now and again, and the staff is Incredibly nice!

Awesome place to shop on bargain items. Hope Gospel definitely has the best prices in town. Ive been to Goodwill and many pawn shops in EC, but Hope Gospel puts them all to shame.

Way over priced for such outdated items. Its like going through my grandmas house. For a religious based company, it doesnt seem very helpful to people with lower incomes.

Great place to buy used furniture, clothes and other household items. Better than goodwill any day. Its also nice to know that the money you spend is going to a good cause.

Great furniture selection! it all goes to a good cause and they dont shove religion down your throat besides all the adds on the walls Which, who cares about that.

Ok place to shop. But last run I was there the clothes seemed like they were dirty and the houses are section had a bunch of broken stuff that shouldnt be sold.

Overall good thrift store. Some prices are steep but most merchandise is reasonable and usually in good shape. The store is extremely clean and well organized.

Used furniture is overpriced, and the whole point is to go to a place like this to support a cause and find a bargain, which isnt really possible anymore.

Much product. Very clean. Polite and helpful workers. Have visited many thrift stores all over the country. This is in the tops. Live near Chicago.

We downsized and donated our excess furnishings. They were good quality. Hope was happy to get them. We were happy they went to a good place.

Employees are friendly and super helpful. Lots of hidden treasures here. A little pricey for a second hand store but they do donate profits.

Terrible pricing. How can a religious building be non-taxed and tax the public on donations. What a joke. Will never do business here.

This is my home away from home because its a great place to shop. You can always find gently-used items for the home at GREAT prices.

No better or worse than any other thrift shop. Have issues with how they treat the homeless men and women they have pledged to help.

20% discount for 50 & older (daily), discount on color tags (50% on some), decently priced used items (especially clothing).

Over priced. They sell torn ripped couches for $200-300. They sell used vacuumsome for the price of a brand new one.
DO
Doug Higgins
Overpriced compared to other thrift stores. Dont expect to find a great bargains unless it is on sale.
