PROFESSIONAL. INFORMATIVE. ACCOMINDATING. EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC. All these terms describe the experience I had at Iron Heart Tattoo with Heath. My first impression of Heath was he is passionate about what he does. He took the time to discuss ideas and he gave me his honest professional opinion with a detailed explanation how to improve my tattoo. What I GREATLY appreciated about my experience with Heath was his sacrifice of his personal time to squeeze me in his schedule at last minute. It really spoke volumes to me that even with the very recent arrival of his new baby girl, Heath sacrificed his personal time just for me based on the fact that I was visiting in from El Paso, Texas and set to depart the following day. I had the opportunity to watch him tattoo three clients. All I can say is WOW, his professionalism never wavered. He was constantly informative to all his clients whether they had previously been tattooed or if it was their first time. He not a only explained the process and what he was doing while he tattooed, but he made a promise to be available at any time for any and all questions or concerns regarding his work. I can confirm he is truly to his word because in the course of my session he took phones calls regarding previous clients questions and was again very professionally and proficient. All I can say is I have so many praises about Heath and his shop Iron Heart Tattoo but in short, if your looking for a tattoo artist who takes time for his clients before and after the tattoo, who is an amazing artist, then call Heath or stop by and book a session with a true professional with passion for what he does. Thank you a million Heath! I look forward to showing off my new tattoo once I get back to El Paso, Texas tomorrow.

will agree with the other reviews here and say Heath is an amazing artist and I am happy about my tattoo but he could definitely use an assistant to help him keep his schedule in order. I live overseas and scheduled with Heath a few months in advance to get my large back piece done. When I showed up to the studio he explained to me he had double booked and we rescheduled. Since my tattoo was time consuming we were not able to finish it in the one session as hoped and I am still missing the quote I originally wanted. I had already paid Heath the full amount (this was January 2015). 5 hours in to the session I realized he didnt even remember by name. I returned to the states in June 2015 and had let Heath know ahead of time that I would be there and we could finish my tattoo then but he again failed to keep it in his calendar. I returned home again in November 2015, gave him multiple days that I would be available but he double booked and couldnt fit me in... again. I waited a long time to write this review in hopes that he would try and reach out, but I have heard nothing. I will be getting the work completed by another artist when I return home next month and will be taking my future ideas elsewhere. 5 star artist yes, I will give him that, but unfortunately I was not impressed with his lack of organization and timekeeping.

Just had a half sleeve done at Iron Heart Tattoo and it was a great experience start to finish. Heath pushed me to really explain my vision and the concept of the tattoo and he completely nailed it. Check out his work online and you can see his talent is unquestionable, but it was his demeanor and professionalism that made this an easy 5 star review. He valued my time and made sure he was at the shop before I showed up on both days. When we fell behind schedule on the first day, he gave me all of my aftercare products for free. He quoted me 9 hours total but didnt waste time and finished in 7:45 lowering the overall cost. He quoted me his drawing fee at 60 dollars but said he enjoyed doing the tattoo so much that he dropped it to 40. It wasnt about the 20 dollars, but more about the kind of guy he is and the kind of shop he runs. As for the shop, it was well lit and very clean. And of course, most importantly the tattoo fits and looks awesome. I literally have nothing to complain about. Before coming here, I had paid deposits and had an appointment scheduled at two other local shops but decided not to get the tattoo there because it didnt feel right. Best decision I could have made. Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

Heath is running an A-1 establishment! And Tommy is a top-notch artist. My siblings and I have attempted to get a shared Tattoo for years but getting us all in one place at the same time was challenging. We finally managed to do it and the artist at another shop where we made an appointment fell ill. Best thing ever ... for us. We found Iron Heart. They were booked of course but invited us to come down and speak to the Artist. In route, Tommy called us back and said his appointment cancelled and asked that we send him the artwork. We were impressed with the professionalism. The studio is welcoming, intimate, clean, and the atmosphere is serene and fun. Tommy walks you through every step of the way, provides suggestions and was extremely patient even when busy. Many walk ins and both artists take time to address them. I was especially impressed when the how honest they are about what each other is best skilled in and who would be best for the art install or with scheduling. Clean lines, excellent fill and three very happy customers later.. We will definitely return and recommend Iron Heart to friends and family.

Heath was recommended by two close friends. I had seen the work he had done for them in person and I was already impressed. I showed up at his studio with a blurry photo of a photo that was my tattoo inspiration. Within the hour, he had not only captured the image I had in mind, but had made it into something even more beautiful. He drew a gorgeous black and grey calla lily piece for my rib cage. Throughout the drawing process, he listened to my ideas, but as an artist was also helpful and insightful in creating the entire design. His lines are clear and attention to detail impeccable. I was in love with it immediately, but after my touch up, it was even more impressive. I have recommended him to countless people and my best friend even received a full rib cage tattoo from him as well. Everyone is always shocked when I tell them the price, as well (although with his growing popularity, his rates may go up soon... book now!). Additionally, this was my first tattoo. Heath was great at explaining his process, reassuring me of sanitation procedures, and providing clear instructions for healing, as well.

I came to iron heart for my first Tattoo. Heath, the artist, came highly recommended by a few friends on Facebook. I contacted him by email and within a few days he had contacted me back to set up an appointment. The day had finally arrived and I was nervous, but he helped keep my mind off of what was ahead. He talked to me the whole time and the atmosphere was very friendly and clean. It was like I was just hanging out with a friend. Once he started I was fine, hes very light handed. I was fully expected to be in tears, but he glided across my arm as though he was writing on paper with pen. Before I knew it he was done. He did a great job. He listened to every detail I wanted and expressed it on my arm. Heath is very serious when it comes to the aftercare of your tattoo which is good, because this is a permanent scar so take care of it. Anyways before he started he said this to me "Now you know these are like potato chips, once you have one youll want more" and he was right on my way home I was thinking of what to get next. Check out iron heart you wont be disappointed.
