The people who work at the Hogback Mountain Gift Shop arent friendly at all. The layout is a mess and the cheese samples are unsanitary. I approached a register with cheese and drinks and after receiving a blank stare, the cashier said "I can only check liquors here." There was no signage to indicate this and she didnt bother to tell me where I should go either. I finally made my way to the fudge counter, where another customer was waiting for the other cashier to figure out the credit card machine. When she finally bagged his items he said "thank you" and she said "yeah." When she finished with me, she said nothing. Really? A paying customer says "thanks" and all you have to say is "yeah" or nothing. Stop for the view, but avoid the tourist trap.

Nice place to visit. Unfortunately I visited on a rainy cloud covered day. So no view. But the shop keeper was nice. They had no water which kind of sucked for em. Hope its back on now. They also offer some alcohol tasting if youre into that. The cheese is very good also. Good place to pick up some quick memory gifts if thats your thing.

I have been before and staff was very friendly and lots of cute knick knacks and Hogback Mt paraphernalia. This time though staff was rude and not very helpful. They might have had an off day. Most of the merchandise in the shop was all Vermont not Hogback Mt. Which was disappointing.

The view from the top of this mountain is incredible on a clear day. The gift shop is nice, but a bit of a tourist trap. The museum downstairs is of stuffed animals, but there are some live birds on the lowest floor with outside enclosures.

I went in and nothing but what seemed like bitter old women worked there. Extremely rude. I bought fudge from the counter and before I even made it out to the car I found a small spider in the fudge box. Disgusting.

Honestly, I didnt actually go inside the gift shop itself but the view from the lookout point was spectacular. Its worth the stop strictly for that. It did look like there was ice cream, though so theres that too!

The view is breathtaking, the owners/staff are so kind and caring, and the fudge, cheese, and everything maple are absolutely unbeatable. Absolutely would recommend visiting to anybody remotely near the area!!

Neat shop with a lot of local and Vermont cheeses, syrup, wine, bear, etc. It on the top off the mountain that offers a fantastic view of the valley below. It is worth the stop if you are passing through.
